All my LCD's have all been IPS except a few old laptops. That being said it is funny to me that the *only* other LCD's I have seen have this same retention issue has been my IBM T221 9503-DGP and my Viewsonic VP2290b which are both QWUXGA (3840x2400) ultra high DPI (204 PPI) monitors like the retina macbooks.

Just thought it was interesting...
 
IR sucks, especially when the same model exists with the same quality screen by a different manufacturer that exhibits no IR.

I love my Samsung rMBP 15" -- absolutely beautiful display :)

Quite amazing that my 15" retina mbp pushes a higher resolution than the new 27" iMac.
 
LOL, I'm sorry, but that video barely shows any IR after 10 mins..(you have to strain your eyes to see it).. it would be a clear case of acceptable or within limits from my point of view. Now if it went worse over time, that would be a different matter..
