New Computer

My sister just bought a Macbook about two weeks ago. Should I tell her to take it back and get the new 13" MBP? What are the significant differences?

I've read the previous pages, but I'm more concerned with the differences btw the new 13"mbp and the last mb because I don't have my sister's to use as reference and apple of course already has them off of their website. Thanks.

Under 14 days, yes. Return it to get the new one if possible. Check Apple.com and you'll see all the new specs. :)

Depending which model you got you could get $300 with a price adjustment. I did that on Tuesday for a Macbook 2.4 I got less than two weeks ago. So if nothing else its worth dropping in for free moneys

I got a stupid question but I want it to be answered.

If I use new MacBook as a desktop machine for a while can I plug it all this time or I will need to make it run on its battery ? I mean will it good for the battery if it is plugged all the time during a month or so ?

I'd let the battery do one full cycle about once a month. Just unplug the power chord a couple of hours before you will stop working, disable "sleep after * minutes" and let it drain the battery overnight. I suggest quitting all programs when you're done working as the battery might not be callibrated and the Macbook doesn't have enough power to go to sleep. This way, you can't lose any unsaved data.

Some more facts about MacBook Pro 13 inch. Prove it if it is wrong:

1) 7 hours - only if you use macbook as a typing machine (only!)
2) Apple does not warrant the battery beyond Apple’s one-year Limited Warranty
3) New batteries haven't received 6months tests
