My GF's 2.26 default is as follows:

798/.9250
1596/1.0
1862/1.0875
2128/1.1750
2261/1.1750

Interesting. I guess even within a model (P8400), Intel/Apple puts them at different stable voltages. Did you ever install CoolBook on her MBP? Would it allow you get down to 0.8750 V, let alone remain stable as low as yours?

Any other members care to share their default freq/voltage pairs?

And does this mean that certain notebooks (within the same model) run inherently cooler and have better battery lives than others? Not Fair. :p

I currently have my 13" Macbook Pro at these settings and have run stress tests using CPUTest with no kernel panics or abnormal results. I did an "all" test and let it repeat ten times. It took forever but it worked.

Adapter:
795 MHz / .8250 V
1862 MHz / .8250 V
2261 MHz / .8625 V

Battery:
795 MHz / .8250 V
1596 MHz / .8250 V

Hers is limited to .9250v ;( Even at .9250 she can't run max.

why can't i go lower than .925?

macbook pro 13.3" 2.26ghz base model.

snow leopard 10.6.1....32bit kernel...

btw does coolbook work with 64bit kernel?

so CB is a program that lets you undervolt, thus underclock, thus physically cool down your processor? Does undervolting at the same clock speed also reduce temps? And if so, why doesn't Apple do this themselves? That would help us...

Does this program allow one to overclock? Very interested.

Nope it can't overclock

and voltages are what cause heat, I haven't really checked how much it dropped (I really need to take a few hours to finalize everything and test, maybe tommorow)

But I know that at 2.26Ghz at full processor use it dropped temps over 10c

Hmmm, all I use is smc fan control and I've never had my 13" MBP go above 60 c , even in clamshell mode.

anyone please help me to configure setting on coolbook for my Macbook pro 13" 2.26Ghz mode ?

Thanks
