some I've also seem some people complaining about the unibody enclosure.if by mistake you just rub a corner or it strikes hard with your belt buckle or anything sharp it actually gets dents which I guess no one can tolerate on such an expensive piece of luxury, and sadly apple service guys don't take care of that...
Is that really a problem?

If you bang it hard enough to dent the enclosure it's not normal use. This thing is solid and you'd really have to bang it to dent it..

First: I'm sorry, but the decision to buy or not buy a new 13" Macbook Pro is not an "urgent" one.

Second: It is a great computer. I find it to be noticeably faster in what I do compared to my prior generation 2.4 GHz C2D 13" MBP. I like that it will be a bit more future-proof than Core 2 Duo machine it replaced, I like knowing that software will be more and more optimized for the Core "i" series processors, and that it can do anything I'll ask of it. I am not a gamer, so I don't give a hoot about gaming FPS. That said, for whatever it may be worth, the new 2.3 got the highest OpenGL score in Cinebench of any machine I've owned.

Third: Compared to the 2.4 C2D refurbs now available, I think the new one is still a better buy--when you can buy more processing power than was available in the top of the line 15/17" MBP for $1200 (or $1100 with student or military discount), I think it's well worth the cost difference.

Low end 13" will be fine. Don't worry about the screen its one of the best you can find on a laptop.

I guess that should be just fine, plus I'm also getting an additional discount of 6% and some free accessories as an educational discount...

Hi guys,
I've one last query...
I'm a first time mac user...
I use an ipod and don't wish to loose all my song ratings while making this pc to mac transfer...I could think of two possible reasons of doing it...

1.Transfer the music folder in a external HD and copy it in my Macbook.(I tried this when I updated from XP to Windows 7 but it Didn't Worked, dunno if it'll work from pc to mac)

2.Keep my ipod in 'manually manage music' mode and then copy all songs into my mac directly from my ipod.(dunno if it work that ways)

i went through a couple of threads regarding the same but couldn't find exactly what I wanted.I dont wanted to open a new thread for such small issue.I would really appreciate if some of u guys could help...
