that's funny - because mine's been 94% for some time but in the last few weeks it's been acting way worse than it was a month ago. I'm still at 94%. Mine gets super super hot very very easily now. And when it's super hot the battery drains quick. Does yours do the same?
i haven't noticed any faster than normal battery drainage or my phone getting abnormally hot.

Don't over think it. It's been a year by now, which assuming charging once a day means ~360 cycles on a 500 cycle battery (Apple guarantees 500 cycles o 80%). So by all accounts, you are fine.
Correction here: You'd be right with 360 cycles if you would charge the phone from 0 to 100 every time. But if you're only charging 50 % every time because you had 50 % charge left when plugging in, you'll suddenly have only 180 cycles. Beware!

For batteries, the fact that you go from 50% to 100% is the same. It still reverses for good while the charge and chemical reaction to hold a charge. That said, going from 50% to 100% is worse.

No, it's not the same. A full cycle is charging 100 percent, and charging only 25 percent is 0.25 cycles.

Mine runs pretty hot from time to time too. Particularly if I'm in a place with poor reception but generally it's hotter than it used to be. I'm at 93% as of today.

If you use a lot of quick charges or wireless charge this builds up heat and makes the battery last a lot less. This is why with all my phones I use the old 5w charger because its SLOW and SAFE. I just leave my phone while I sleep and that's it.

That’s exactly the way I do it.

13 mini bought in October 2021. I charge daily but rarely get below 50% at the end of the day. I use the MagSafe charger 99% of the time. I just checked and my battery health is at 100%. I’m not sure why.

No, it's not the same. A full cycle is charging 100 percent, and charging only 25 percent is 0.25 cycles.
Again, a “half” cycle is worse for battery performance over a long period of time.

You will degrade your battery much faster.

Any others with launch day 13 minis that feel the battery is really on its last legs? Despite battery health showing 85% I find myself charging the mini at least once in the middle of the day. On vacations I need to charge it twice during the day.

I have a feeling that this is exactly why Apple stopped offering the mini.

13 mini bought in June 2022, I have only used wireless charging and have 94% battery health.

Optimized charging is on.

Mine is still showing 100% after running it exclusively between 40-80 from day one. Even though some will tell you it makes no difference, it clearly does 👍
I wish Apple would allow a hard 80% rule in iOS rather than just the “optimised” option as I’d be happy to limit myself to 80%.

Mine is launch day age thereabouts and is at 84% despite me avoiding charging it above 80% (although it does still get there occasionally).

Almost looking forward to it getting to below 80% so I can get Apple to replace it. Last time I tried to change an iPhone battery above 80% they said no - is that still the case?
