Got my 13 Pro Max 512GB on Friday. After reading some first impressions and thinking about what the 13 has over my 11 Pro Max (not a lot), I decided I was going to return it to AT&T and skip the 36 month "contract" to get my trade-in credits. Even got the return label from AT&T. Kept the box sealed.

Today, I figured I have 14 days to try it out so I took the leap and set it up. First thing I noticed was it seemed larger and heavier than my 11. Transferred data from my 11 Pro Max to 13 Pro Max. When all was complete (and troubleshooting why I had no AT&T service on the phone) I got to playing around with it. I soon realized that I hadn't really noticed the 120Hz. It wasn't as stand-out as I thought it would be. Faster phone? Don't really notice it as my 11 was plenty fast. I'll try out the camera (especially macro mode) tomorrow.

All-in-all, nice phone but not sure it's worth 36 months locked to AT&T and an extra $400 out of pocket.

Hopefully over the next week, I'll have discovered enough cool things that are better than my 11 Pro Max and keep it.

For me

No buyers remorse going from 4 to 5s
Buyers remorse going from 5s to 6s (felt like a soap bar, returned the 6s)
No buyers remorse going from 5s to SE 2016 (still using)
Buyers remorse going from SE 2016 to XR (returned XR)

I have not bought/tried a phone since then. I often go and play around with them in the store. Size wise the only acceptable ones are SE 2020 and the Minis. But PWM (or some other display issue) causes headaches for me even for light use in store. Which means SE 2020 is about the only option in the current line up and I would probably need to get a case for it, unlike my SE 2016 which I use naked.

Aside from the Mini in the current lineup, everything else feels too big AND heavy in my hand. That's why even though the display of the 13 Pro seems acceptable in the store, I cannot bring myself to pull the trigger. After seeing this thread from the OP and with several others chiming in, I think my hesitancy was more than justified.
I’m reading that PWM isn’t an issue with the 13 models (maybe just certain models though).

Also, you should cover up that SE because they don’t make them that small anymore! I still have mine to use as an iPod, but it is just too difficult to type on as a phone.

I think there is an adjustment period going to any larger model, so I wouldn’t dismiss the possibility that you might find a newer/larger model more productive.

Dude what you just described is buyer's remorse. And that's perfectly fine and that's what return policies are for.

Wow! Did you have to go all the way out to morally corrupt? I did not misinterpret your post - you pretty much said and i quote "I had high expectations for the iPhone 13 pro as my next personal phone...". Your purchase did not meet your expectations and you returned it. That is (an interpretation of) buyers remorse.

Dont malign me in the name of feeling better about yourself
Interesting reaction, in the future you may benefit from better understanding the words you use, ‘buyer’s remorse’ definition found online: A feeling of regret experienced after making a purchase, typically one regarded as unnecessary or extravagant.

In Western societies its customary to label items including people. So I wouldn’t worry about it.
