I ordered black 64gb Wifi at about 10am on Thursday. Still saying processing.
We're much closer to China than the US so I wouldn't expect to see much happen till Tuesday on the shipping status.
Has anyones card been charged yet? Mine's not even had a hold put on the funds.
Edit: Whoops - mine has had the funds put on hold. Yay!

16-22 March, ordered at 7:45am on the 8th. Black 32gb wifi, no smart cover, I'll just keep using my current one. No engraving either.

Anyhow, I've got a 64GB Black 4G still processing. Ordered my smart cover in a separate order.
I've heard from a source that the iPads are already in Sydney waiting to be sorted, so don't worry, they aren't coming from China. They should arrive on the 16th if you're in Zone 1.

No engravings
No 'smart' covers
Delivery status reads March 16th-22nd. Since I'm in Zone 1 too, we all know what that means!

Yeah I ordered about midday on announcement day and still no information re: shipping etc. Still not worried though. Like others, my funds are also being held but not yet taken from me. Will update here when I get more information so we can keep tabs on where all our orders are at! Also, I am in Zone 1 Melbourne, so anything I post is relavant to zone 1

Anybody else notice that Perth is just outside zone 1? yet, all the woop woop towns north of Perth are zone 1? I'm still hoping for Friday though

You should be able to get yours on launch day regardless of what that map is showing you. I mean, look where Melbourne is on the map. The nearest TNT Express depot is also in Welshpool, WA, which is only minutes away from Perth.
Wow, all of Eastern Australia is pretty much Zone 1, this means I might get mine on the 16th...

I preordered mine as soon as it came out on online store. It still says processing. I contacted Apple to follow up because it seemed odd. She said you will most likely receive it on March 22nd with a slim chance of the 16th. She said she has only seen a few that have been shipped for the 16th. Hopefully still get it on the 16th. I got my iPad smart cover today though. I ordered Black 32 GB wifi. Also I am on Gold Coast Queensland which is zone 1.
Find that hard to believe.
If, as someone has pointed out, the devices are already in sydney. They only really need to be dispatched on Thursday...
Even coming from China they probably wouldn't need to begin shipment until tomorrow.
not entirely surprising considering the stunt they pulled with the iPhone 4S preorders :S
From what I remember, people were expecting to receive the iPhone 4S on release day like everybody else who pre-ordered early (in the US). A couple of days before release, people started ringing customer support asking them what was going on with their orders. Apple responded pretty much replied with, 'You won't be getting them on release day' because they were getting shipped from China. We didn't believe them until shipping notifications were sent and we had to wait a week after launch to receive the iPhone.
