Must say though, 13" MacBook Air getting $100 price drop + Back to School Promotion + free copy of Mountain Lion makes me happy. :)

is there a price cut like there usually is for the back to school promotion? or just the gift card? theres usually both

Last year the 13" base model was $1,299. This year it is $1,199 + the $100 gift card.

the $1,199 is a discount on the laptop regardless if you're a student or not. I was wondering if there is another price cut like there usually is with education pricing

Any BTO kicks the shipping up to 1-3 days. I'll give it a shot at Grand Central tomorrow morning, but since the "Ultimates" are now 512GB I'm wondering if I'll be able to get my preferred configuration (11.6" i7/8/256).

Seems so, I opted for the $14 extra faster shipping charge and it shows "Shipping 1-3 Days, delivers 2-3 days after shipping."

Just ordered with the education discount, around $1250 shipped with expedited and a TB to Ethernet adapter just in case. ill have to call in tomorrow for the $100 GC. No confirmation email yet though, i used bill me later

Just ordered the 13" 8GB/256GB version, £1142.40 with student discount in the UK, and got the £70 AppStore/iTunes voucher too. Absolute bargain.
