Now that there is no 17" MBP, will Apple make a 14"? I wish they would make a 14.4" because it is in the middle between 13.3 and 15.4.

I'll go with no. I've read of no rumors about Apple adding a new screen size to the MBP line.

I'd say that the odds of seeing a 14" inbetween the 13" and 15" MBP are somewhere between won't happen and never.

Makes little sense to provide a 14" laptop to the consumers who will ask why when you have a 13" MBP and a 15"

    I seriously doubt it. They have a 13" and a 15". Why make a 14" in between?

I agree. I would like to own 3 Mac laptops in 3 different sizes. There is just something so special about Apple.

    ----------

I could have sworn reading an article that Asian market prefer a 14 inch.

I can see this. Almost every corporate laptops that we sell to clients has a 14.1" screen. 15" laptops come across as gigantic and while 13" laptops are becoming more popular, many people think they're too small. However, 13.3" is really not that much different than 14.1". I've always preferred the 13". That's why I got one.

I wish Apple would make 10.1", 11.2", 12.3", 13.3", 14.4", and 15.5", so it would confuse customers even more - BUT I WISH!

And of course, each screen size will have totally different hardware specs (CPU, GPU, soldered vs. free RAM, etc.) to make things even more confusing :)

Why don't they start with giving you an eyesight check (to determine the smallest pixel you can see) and offer a whole range of different retina displays :p

And only offer certain specced hardware per. I.e.: If you want a dedicated GPU, you can't have a SSD, etc.

Having 3 different size laptops should be sufficient. 13, 14, and 15......especially for the pro series.....

Nah, Apple's lineup should appeal to my OCD.

    RMBP 12, RMBP 14, and RMBP 16

Each exactly 2 inches larger than the other.

But then you're missing out on all the ones before it: 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 inch screen sizes.

You know, it's funny. I had a cMBP 15" before I got my new 13" rMBP and I must say, without the "chunkiness" of the cMBP body and the Retina screen, the 13" just FEELS bigger than it actually is. Can anyone identify with that? I thought I would hate it, but the crispness and slight bezel changes make the screen real estate seem much larger than a normal 13.

    That's because of the resolution.

yes really, its a blotched job who came up with that, have you noticed what are the top of the line machines in the asian market? 13".

Have you noticed the product line up of those asian companies in the asian market? 13 primarily, 14 secondarily...

Sony flagship? z13, unfortunately dead, replacement s13
Lenovo, thinkpad edge e320 and other 13'' models, with the x230 being their most seller there
Fujitsu, nec and so forth focus more on 13 and lower with few models at 14 and 15

14 is something that US likes and some european markets
