Haven't had any issues here. Updated last night, haven't charged in 8 hours and I'm still at 92%. I'm on an iPhone 4 by the way. Don't forget that some of these devices are several years old. Can't expect "new" performance from old batteries.

Meh I have 1 hour 46 minutes usage and 4 hours standby and I'm at 85%...seems pretty much the same or a bit better than 5.1.1.

Here is also very weird. While in beta 4 in 4 hours dropped 5% in GM dropped 17%
iPhone 4s, full restore, not returned backup. I chose the option of new iphone.

do you have either of the facebook apps signed in ?

if so, sign out. i doubled my battery life by doingg this

Like you signed out of the facebook integration and signed out of the facebook app? Wouldn't it be easier to just close and kill the app in the background?

Hope I don't regret writing this, but so far so great on iOS 6. Battery usage seems vastly improved. By that I mean that on 5 my battery would drop even when the phone was not in use. Least it seemed that way.

here are my specs... iPhone 4S.
Should I b disappointed...?

4s

Since i 1st got the 4s on release day my battery life compared to my ip4 has been shocking. So far so good with this update

Same for me. My father has the 4, and I the 4S and I am always amazed at how much better battery life the 4 has. Looking forward to this update!

My battery is [messed] up after upgrading to GM. I was in class for 3 hours never used it during that time and all the apps were closed. Battery drained after 3 hours. Any suggestions ? I am thinking of downgrading to iOS 5 :(

Doesn't feel like the battery on my 4S has changed significantly on the GM compared to 5.1.1; maybe a bit better in standby but the new maps app rinses my battery, especially when using the 3D mode. (I suppose that's to be expected considering it will likely use a lot more processing power than regular maps). Same goes for panorama.

There is definately something wrong with mine. %90 drain in 3 hours without even using the phone and all apps closed. Anyone has a similar case ?

I posted a screenshot a few posts above, right after installing ios6 GM. But that was the first cycle under iOS 6. It actually shut off at 7%...
After a full cycle, it seems to be going better. I'm at 11h of standby, 2:30h of usage and 54% left... So it seems a lot better than my first cycle under iOS 6...

Give it another cycle.

Fantastic Battery

I have been running iOS 6 since beta 1. Right now running the GM on an iPhone 4S and am currently at 77% battery remaining with 5 hours and 14 min Usage, 12 hours and 26 minutes on standby.
