Yeahhh. I wish we could get high refresh displays (ProMotion) on all the displays. Once you get used to high refresh rates, it ruins you. Maybe in ten years. 💀I hope it does. If Apple can push it to solid all-day 24 hours. That would be awesome. What if the MacBook Air is carrying a Mini-LED display 🫣. However, seems like it’s already been confirmed that’s not going to happen.

The Airs used to have fans, as I recall... and the Airs also used to have that distinctive wedge-shaped design, which they do not have any more. Things are getting confusing... 😅
As a "loyal follower" of your posts 😅, I must say that the color selection has been the biggest thing on your most-wanted feature list for Apple's laptop line...
We did get those "Starlight" and "Midnight" colors with the latest MacBook Air, but I think you are aiming for more fun colors like the 24-inch M1 iMacs, right.

Correct! For many, it's the overall Performance and Functionality that are appealing to them. However, for me, I focus more on overall Industrial Design and Colors. I love the existing Midnight color on Macbook Air. I was going to pull the trigger last year but the 13" size was not appealing to me.
I also prefer deep/dark colors. I think they look rich, classy, and elegant. In addition, I really want Apple to introduce the new iPhone Pro lineup in Product Red this year. I've been begging Apple to make it happen for a while now.
Indeed... an active cooling solution for the Intel chips was necessary...
Of course, Apple silicon on the newer MacBook Pros also requires an active cooling solution, so perhaps fans are just something we need to accept as a trade-off for performance.
You missed my reference to the "21-inch iMacs"... I forgot that they are 24-inch displays, not 21-inch, haha... Not having owned an iMac before, I admit to being a little sleepy on the specs, even though I do listen to the product announcements when things come out, usually.
These colors look unappetizing. Not a fan.
They do kind of remind me of... Christmas ornament colors... ha! I think it's the dull gloss used on the render that gives it that effect. The gold color in the render seems pretty close to the current Starlight color on the new MBAs, though.
15” chassis is certainly sizeable enough for a fan and an M2 Pro. Maybe it’ll just be called MacBook.

Sorry, Apple nailed it with the iMac colors. They are vibrant. Notice how Apple manages to offer light/dark colors at the same time. Hopefully, we get a new iMac in 27" or 30" screen size. I don't think the current mac Studio will ever replace the feeling you get with an iconic iMac. iMac offers a one-stop shop for the desktop experience.
I wonder why some people complain about the white bezels? Not having owned the new M1 iMacs, I don't know whether that's something people come to like about the design, or whether it gets in the way.
I also feel that the M1 iMacs have a stronger impact from the back than they do from the front, obviously because of the color difference.

Reading comprehension, I was replying about mcBook Air. Last I checked Mac Book pro is entirely different model.
Makes sense that it would come with an M2 chip.
It’ll have exact port configs as current M2 MBA. Card slots reserved for Pro. Differentiator.
If the 13” M2 MBA is any indicator, a 15” M2 MBA will prove their best selling portable to date. Comin’ in hot!
There is no « Pro » products in apple lineup. Only high margin high spec products and high margin low spec products.
Please just make it support two external monitors, Tim Apple!
If Apple release a 15" Air this year, I think it will have the M2 Chip, just to keep the price down.
And I also believe, and hope, that the screen size will be slightly larger, like 15,3 or even 15,6".
And we can also presume that the SSD speed on the entry level will be capped, like Air M2 13,3.

Wow. I suppose you also want a fold out desk fan and built-in coffee dispenser?
The whole point of the Air is that it keeps things simple. If you want all these extra slots and ports, that’s what the Pro is for.
Coming soon: MacBook SE with lower-cost M0 chip.

Why does it come even close to replacing a MacBook pro except it has a similar screen size.
There seems to be a lot of people who don't understand the difference in the chips !
