15'' MacBook Pros Shipping

2 things..

  1. When did you order?
  2. Has that date changed in the last 3 days? If not then maybe Amazon are a little behind on their info.
Ordered Jan 30. The ship date has been April 7 ever since I placed the order. For those of you who are looking to get a MacBook Pro, amazon.com has $150 off plus $30 A9 discount plus no tax ($120 savings for me) and free shipping. I saved $300 by buying from amazon.com, but now I have to wait a bit longer.

- Sound (looping/echo problem found in 15" last gen. PowerBooks)

I've seen reports online saying this was fixed by 10.4.5. Do you still have the problem with the latest OS?

One guy at Korean Apple Forum, who lives in the States, posted messages that the macbook has finally delieverd. (Actually he picked it up from the FedEx office this morning.)
He said, he will post pictures tonight.

Damn that was fast... To be honest though, I don't want photos I want battery life pure and simple, oh, and wireless reception (I am worried the relocation of the antenna maybe an issue)..

card was charged

my Credit card was charged this morning, status on Apple.com/store has not changed though, any speculations on when it might ship? Ordered mine on the 19th of Jan, original ship date was Feb 15, the upgrade pushed it to the 28th, but apple said that if i didn't select the 2.16 upgrade by the 18th my order would be filled with the 2.0,....... mine is also ship[ping to my job, so I am hoping for this week delivery!!!(BTW I paid the extra for the 2 day delivery)

Charged, not yet updated.

Yup, my card has been charged (see attachment,) but my Order Status page hasn't been updated yet. Looking good for a week-early delivery, though.

This was for a CTO (High-end model, upgraded with 7200 RPM hard drive,) placed 1/12, original ship date of 2/15, 'auto-upgrade-to-2.0' ship date of 2/28.

Still says 'Estimated Shipped by 2/28'.

I wonder how much Mac rumours members have spent on Apple hardware since the new computers were announced??

Mine's on the same flight ! Does that mean it goes to Memphis and then out to us from there ??

Has anyone actually SEEN their computer yet ??

Mine is on the same flight as well, BUT, it just landed in Indianapolis (and I am in Seattle), so it flew /past/ me by a good 1000+ miles. It seems the reason for the weird shipment dates is that the China shipments are getting flown in from China to the midwest distrobution center, then combined with other shipments being sent out today from Indianapolis to your local centers. If the planes leave today at a reasonable hour (7-8pm), delivery could very well be tomorrow keep your eyes peeled.

Mine left Anchorage on the 18th... still no tracking update though
...but if they are being routed through Indianapolis, well hot damn, I live 40 mins from there :D

I ordered my MBP 2.0 120GB 7200rpm on January 23rd via a local Apple guy in The Netherlands (offered a better price than the Apple store and practically gave me Office for free). He can't say when it will be delivered exactly but expects it to be shipped to his facilities this week. Unfortunaltely, I can't check the order status with Apple which makes the wait even 'worse'. When does the hurting stop! But then again, all good things come to those who wait. :)

I believe you are the first, and only, person I've heard that upgraded to a 120GB 7200 rpm drive. The best Apple could do for me was a 100 GB 7200 drive, who did you have to sleep with to pull that off?;)

what do you mean ? they sell it with 120gb drives

I work for FedEx and today is a normal workday. And Indiana is one of their mini-hubs, so it's not unusual for items to go there first.

Hey pilotgi, is it normal to not update shipment status online until after it is delivered? Just wondering, some of us have not seen updates to our shipments for two days. Feb 18th, 8:48PM Left Anchorage, AK. I'm trying to figure out if I need to take tomorrow off or the day after. I wish they would update the damn tracking info! Thanks.
