My bag, the Computer Nerd from Peter Alexander is cool, and fits my MacBook Pro and all of my accessories very well, and I really like it. It is also really light and comfortable to hold and durable. The pic is included below (sorry it's from my iPhone, so it's not great quality).

Backpack is very comfortable and fits not only laptop, but a SLR camera with flash, and couple lenses too. However I suggest a sleeve too- my mbp got dvd slot squeezed while in backpack.

There are many nice backpacks for 15" inch laptops. Some not very bulky ones (very important for me and others who spend a lot of time in crowded trains, bus etc). Unfortunately that is not the case for the 13" macbook :(

Check out Timbuk2 bags. I have the Blogger Bag. It suppose to fit the 13in but I can put my 15in PB/MBP inside the laptop compartment. The inside is lined with corduroy. It's not as bulky as the messenger bags. You have plenty of room. http://www.timbuk2.com/tb2/products/laptop/blogger

I carry my 15in Mac in my messenger bag. It depends on which one I'm using that day, I will use a sleeve. The Blogger I use my Tucano Skin sleeve whenever I carry several spiral notebooks inside the laptop compartment.

STM makes a small backpack in the Rogue line which is grey and dark blue, rather than red and grey like the medium I posted on the first page, for 13" MBPs as well as a small evolution backpack which is grey and black. You can see them either on STM's website or on/at the apple store. I would check prices online though before buying from the apple store; I got mine 40% or more off list price.

i use one of these topeak bags on the end of my bicycle. the side pockets fit a Macbook Pro perfectly! I thought it would be awkward at first but it's actually extremely comfortable.
