15 months in... Think Apple will cut me some slack on extending my warranty?

They won't let you add the Apple Care, but if you take it into the Genius Bar, they might authorize the repair for free. My old roommate got her Alu MacBook repaired for free when it was 3 months out of the 1-year warranty. You have more of a chance of that happening than adding AC late.

I had a battery replaced on a 3year old mb and my dad had a logic board replaced on his mbp. Both were weeeeeeelllll beyond applecare and we had them done for free

Did the MacBook have an exploding battery and did the MacBook Pro have a faulty 8600GT? Those were two out-of-warranty repairs that Apple does for no charge.

Both were core duo machines from 2006 and we did not get extended ac and these repairs were done in 2009 free of charge

My mb had a bulging battery

The mbp had the x1600 iirc
