Literally none of those features will help iOS 26. Doesn’t Apple consider fixing bugs or improving performance a “feature”. Or I guess those were #16 and #17, and didn’t make the cut.
It kind of goes without saying that they are fixing bugs and improving performance where they can with each new update. They rarely point out many specifics but the final release notes usually mention at least the major bug fixes. And NO- bug fixes and performance improvements are NOT in fact "features". They are... bug fixes and performer improvements- lol.

Did you take a bunch of photos during the last time?
Sometimes the re-indexing takes a while.
I had it on my phone. Was on a trip to Asia where I took around 1300 photos, had the phone mostly on battery saver mode on that trip.
It took almost 4 weeks after being back home until the travel picture books from the photos app were organised again. Even some older ones from former trips were shown without a naming… was strange but thankfully it fixed by itself.
Was also before the 26.2 RC update, so it’s not related to this version.
No plumeria pictures recently (going out of season in my region), but I don't think it's delayed indexing because I took pictures of our xmas tree last night and I search "tree" and there it is.

I have a 17 Pro Max now, but still have my 16 Pro Max on iOS 26.1 also (unfortunately) and results are zero on it whereas before the update, it worked as expected.

Huh? What?

Correct, fixing a defect or improving performance is not a feature and definitely not "new" which is what the topic of this post was.

Those sorts of changes would axiomatically not be part of this sort of list. I get being frustrated at the state of iOS 26, but your comment is nonsensical as you framed it.

Liquid Glass my ass. The remote app still looks like this piece of trash and UI of an iPhone 1. You’re telling me with all the fancy new silicon, the best they can come up with is a recreation of the physical remote?!? There are so many possibilities for the ultimate companion style TV App.
