For those that took advantage of the education promo, what do you plan to use your $150 gc for?

Right now I only have the usb c av adapter in my cart but I'm looking to add more.

I’ve searched all over online and it doesn’t sound like they allow that.
If this is true I’ll be happy because I didn’t even think of doing that… so I’m not sure what to use the gift card on. New iPhone in Sept, I guess

Question for those with macs, do you generally get apple care with them? I always do for my phones and iPads. Either going towards apple care or a new Apple Watch

I thought they applied the gift card to the price of the MacBook. Is that not the case?

Surprised how many people get Apple Care... Although I guess I shouldn't talk, since my M2 MBA is replacing an MBP that got water damaged

I'm torn between using the gift card to get a Magic Touchpad and putting it towards an iPad. Don't really *need* an iPad, but would be fun.

I’m curious if I’ll end up keeping my ipad after my MacBook arrives. Don’t reach for it as often as I thought I would so I have a feeling the MacBook will replace it. We’ll see, it’s the cellular version which I do like for camping in the summer when the wifi sucks lol

I've never really had a tablet so don't know how I'll use it, but yeah also wondering if the MBA won't do most of the same functions... I just like the idea of being able to use it to read and annotate pdfs on the couch and/or in cafes. But form factor of MBA definitely makes iPad redundant in many cases.

They don’t allow you to use it during check out. But you can use it after the fact. You have 60 days to purchase it online or in person within the first year
I know, but that’s the thing, literally every personal account I have found online has said you cannot use a gift card to purchase the Apple Care.

If you have the step by step instructions to use the gift card, I’d love to know.

So my gf is currently an assistant/substitute teacher for preschool. Does anyone know if someone like her would be eligible for the education discount? I’m wondering if I should have purchased my M2 MBA through her instead of ordering it myself…

Apple doesn't verify if you buy online on the education store so yes, she or you can buy online on the education store. They will only verify if you go in store.

Probably buy an extra power brick or some cables with it. Quite honestly thought it was going to come off the price of the laptop too. Oh well, there is always some reason to spend $$ on Apple sh*t.

I used an Apple giftcard to help pay down my MacBook Air AppleCare, had to do it at the Apple Store. The Genius was able to deduct the gc value from the total cost. He just had to inspect the MacBook there

According to this, Apple is now requiring verification. I’m not familiar with UNiDAYS but I doubt it’s something that’s used with early childhood education. Regardless, I’m not sure Apple would retroactively apply an education discount after I’ve already purchased something.

Not the case. It’s emailed to you within 24 hours of the device being shipped
My daughter in college and I also work at a University. I wonder if I can exchange or return my MBA. Then get one with this promotion.

They will not. I contacted Apple and was told told they cannot do that.
