anyone have any resolution of this "yellowish" I still seem to have it... and about ready to give up on this 15 MBA! lol
Try using the Display P3 setting instead of the Adobe 1998 color profile.
The slightly warmer display on the MBA is not overly shifted towards yellow, but compared with the MBP, it may look off to you. If that is the only issue with the MBA I would just ignore it and enjoy using the more space.
If you can't stand it, go for the 14" MBP, which is a great computer too (Just more expensive).

yes good suggestion! also, in comparing the 15 MBA m2 to a 13 MBA m2 today, the 13 looked even more warm/yellow. I guess that is just how it is... not a huge deal, and we all get used to it..

The MBP does have whiter whites and blacker blacks. It’s the trade off. Just depends whether you think the MBA is inferior enough to not own it. I see the yellow tone but I’ve just accepted it. If you stop comparing you just accept it. It’s not ‘bad’ it’s just not as white or black as MBP. If it really bothered me i’d change it... If i sat comparing all the time id keep noticing… question is does it truly affect your usage? That’s my take but each person is different.

Exactly. If you search a OCD ghost you will find it, see my previous comparison with my 13" MBP M1, I'm totally happy with the 15" Air.

So true, when you compare side by side, of course you can tell, without no problem!

Try changing your display settings. The software lets you correct this similar to "Color Profiles" on the iphone.

Anyone else have a yellow tint to their 15" MacBook Air? I upgraded to a M4 and it still appears to have a yellow tint to it (True Tone off, Nighshift off, Display P3 color profile)

After using AI to try and figure this out, I think I came to a good workaround. Just sharing what I did in case this helps someone who has a yellow tint to their screen. In my case I had a noticeable yellow tint to my 15" M4 Macbook which you'll see in the comparison videos. True Tone and Nightshift were always off btw so that was never the issue.

I calibrated the screen through the display settings and changed the whitepoint from "Native Whitepoint" D65 (6500K) to 8000K, and created a new color profile from this which can be done through the "Color profile" settings. The screen looks way better for my eyes now. The previous yellow tint made things hard for me to read and was just annoying in general. In the video below the standard color profile is Color LCD and you can see the change after I switch to the new color profile I made.

I guess standard these panels are calibrated to the warmer side? Not sure, but to me it felt very yellow/warm before I changed the whitepoint. Hope this helps someone!
