You called it. I updated, and now my Sonos Arc won’t play audio from the Apple TV source, all other sources work. Reset, restart, settings change…no luck.

Crap… hopefully the update just needs to settle in.

Maybe a network reboot?

Why does apple struggle with these things? Are they incapable of designing a functioning home service

My HomePod 2 is refusing to update, just stuck on installing. I have removed, reset and re-added it multiple times but still same.

All my minis updated fine.

Weird though, 16.3.1 sound better than 16.3. Did they tweak the sound algorithm?

BBC iPlayer isn’t working on our 2022 4K AppleTV after 16.3.1. Launches but fails to login with ‘something went wrong try again later’ message. Anyone else seeing this. IPlayer works fine on iPad.

Found a work around to iPlayer. Added a ‘new’ sign in account. I actually used the same user name and password and it works. But I now have two users on the login page, both with exactly the same name and password… The original user won’t work and can’t even be removed (same error message as before). The second user works fine (even though it’s exactly the same user name and password). Perhaps deleting and reinstalling the app will clean up the login…

I've had the same over the past week on my 3 ATV's. Deleted the app on each and re-signed in - not sure if something is going on backend.

You guys are brave with your updating. Some time ago I started treating apple updates like I used to do back in the final throes of MacOS - I'm not touching them until it's been well established that they work. Still 16.2 for me on everything.

False hope that the next one will fix everything. When stuff is working like crap, all you have is the updates to look forward to.

In hindsight, I’d have stayed on 14 lol.

Nothing fixed.
Still having to ask Siri twice to do anything on the OG HomePod, still failing to complete scenes sometimes, I can’t tell if audio was tweaked back to the original or not, yet. Still the annoying tone instead of Siri saying “Done”. And for some reason, the HomePods can’t see each others, if I ask to stop a certain HomePod with it’s name, Siri says she can’t tell which speaker I’m referring to. But workaround, Stop everywhere does the job.
So another useless update, hopefully I don’t come back here tomorrow with a list of new bugs.

Miss you, Steve!

Ditto, still have to ask my OG HomePods twice to get them to turn lights on. Utter joke

I cannot update one of my HomePod 2’s. The update shows up under Home, but I cannot click on it. I hit the ”Update” button and nothing happens. Has anyone else had this issue?

I’ve seen this but it was because the HomePod was actually updated. Just took a while for it to register in the Home app. Did you try previously updating it? Check in your list of iCloud devices in settings to see what version it’s on.

Under my iCloud devices, it still shows as 16.0.
