Freakin hiddeous!

I suggest you don't buy one then.

FYI - Pics were posted so people can see the results of Colorware's service. I had a hard time finding pictures so I thought I'd post some for people to see. Obviously, people have different tastes.

If you don't like it....don't buy it. You can keep your comments to yourselves. I don't care if you don't like it.

i hate you.....you make it harder for to not do it to my phone....looks beautiful though, love the combo. I myself would have done orange and either white or black.

either way, your phone looks like it belongs on display, i would be afraid to touch it...

If you don't want people's comments, don't post on a public forum

I'm not a fan of red, but I think it came out great. Just waiting for my worthless Verizon contract to end in May and I'm going to get a iPhone from Colorware...and i've got a few months to decide the colors!! :D

You stole Darth Maul's phone?!?!?!?

Pretty cool... I wonder how pink would look. My wife would love an iPhone in pink.

I might do this to my iPhone if it ends up terribly scratched, I usually prefer to keep things stock.

That's pretty sweet though. Imagine that 5-6 million people have an iPhone, but how many have a red iPhone?

i think it looks very cool, but only thing that would worry me is if something went wrong with it. no warranty i take it.

Very nice! I hope it gives you much joy during its use.

It has always annoyed me that Apple only creates ‘white’ docks that don’t match the range of colours of their iPods/iPhones.

Just out of curiosity, are you not bothered by a 3G iPhone that will be released in the summer?

Personally, to colour an iPhone, I would have just bought a coloured Vaja case (see example photo). Then if I was upgrading my iPhone, I could just use the same case, plus, my warranty would still be valid. Just my own preferred way of ‘individualizing’ a gadget.

Anyway, enjoy!

I'm not bothered anymore than I was when I bought my 8GB iPhone...knowing there would eventually be a 16GB version. When the 3G iPhone comes out, I'll probably buy it and sell my current phone on eBay. No biggie at all, especially considering that used iPhones seem to keep their value very well if the eBay sales are any indication. I just sold my launch day 8GB on eBay for $405. When I go to sell my 16GB, I can recover at least $550 of the $720 I spent on it.

Well I liked it. In fact, more than likely when apple releases their mactouch or whatever it turns out to be I've been planning all along to have mine colorwared. I've just ordered a color sample selection from them because as these pictures prove the colors on the site don't do the final product justice.

So far, it appears as though of will not be scatched easily. The only thing that annoys me is that the layer of paint makes it fit a little snug in the dock and it doesn't slide out as easy as it used to. But, it may still just need to break in a bit. I can't remember if my last iPhone was the same way.

I had the same comments about my phone when I posted my pics. By the way I have had my Colorware phone for over a month now and no scratches yet. My wife on the other hand dropped her phone on a granite countertop and chipped the paint. Colorware said I would have to send the phone in a it would cost $40 to repaint the trim. So be careful...

By the way here is the chipped phone. Once painted the phone is more slippery in your hands. She dropped it from about 6 inches onto the countertop in our kitchen. She says she has no intentions of paying to get it fixed at the moment because she is afraid it will happen again. Personally I would get it fixed right away but its not my phone.

Absolutely H-O-T!

I wouldn't have thought it possible to paint the chrome with any durability.

Now what type of case will you use to protect the paint job. :)
