I like to have all of my music(11.2GB) and all of my photos(3.1GB) on my iPhone at all times. 32GB is enough for me, but 64 would've been ideal.
My friend got a cheap 8GB 3GS recently, and regretted it, after her first sync. :D

"Go big, or go home".

Out of curiosity, what's the most amount of space anybody has ever taken up with just apps lone..... i'm pretty well certain that I'll never come close to using the 16g with the apps..... it's not that difficult (apparently) or of a nuisance to simply transfer files to my Imac if the iphone get's near full. I'd love the buy the 32g but the plan I want only really goes with the 16g....

Decision made I think.

I have about 6.5GB of apps. TomTom being the biggest on my phone by far, but many game are several hundred meg.
That said, I don't actually use any of the synced music or podcasts and stream those instead via Pandora and Podcaster. As the quality of streaming apps and content have improved, the extra space of the 32 is actually less important then it was a year ago.
Still, $100 over the course of your contract is next to nothing. I have a 32 with all of my songs down sampled to 128k and all of my photos. Sure they're nice to have with me, but I wouldn't care much if I had to delete them.

Follow the sayings of the ancients: One cannot have too much HD space....

I went with the 32 but despite installing many apps/games, photos, music (i don't see why i would want to have my entire Library on the go) one obligatory movie (Shaun of the Dead, 700Mb after conversion), i'm still left with 25 Gigs and am wondering what to do with it....

I choose the 32GB version because I wanted to put my music from my iPod on it. I couldn't copy all music because I have about 30Gb on my iPod. If there was a 64GB version of the iPhone I would have bought it.

I agree completely. I have a boatload of music and movies. Would have snapped up a 64 gig in a heartbeat.
Do I need to keep it all on one device all the time? No. But I DO prefer that. As one other poster said, ancient wisdom is to get the most space you can!:)
