I think 5600 is a must for Game Developers too, I have the 5500 and is not enough for me. I could get a eGPU but I don't work on a desk some times I'm working on the bed, couch or even a Hammock lol so eGPU is not really an option for me tbh if you need a GPU what's the point of the laptop you would be better with a desktop instead.

Did anyone get their 5600m config yet? I had to return my 5500m due to defects and reordered the 5600m config almost two weeks ago. Did anyone order their 5600m from Adorama? How long do these BTOs usually take to ship?

I do not know how long it will take for you but here, in Romania (Europe), with Istyle not Apple directly, I have ordered mine on 22 July and I am still waiting for it. Furthermore, there is no visible tracking and you need to call them whenever you need an update. Called yesterday and they said probably next week will arrive.

My order is 2.3ghz, 2TB SSD, 64G RAM, 5600M.
I took 2.3 instead of 2.4 because it is too small difference for the money.
I am one of those IT guys that needs RAM. Probably 5600M is overkill but we have one life
