16GB

you save money and it's enough space. Sure you can't load a ton of music but who cares, things stream these days anyway. And it's enough space for apps and video. You can always off load video to free up space.

For crying out loud, if you have more than 500 songs and close to no space left. Convert the songs to 128 AAC cuz it will save over a GB. I personnally saved 2.5 GB when I have 1000 songs. I still have 4 GB left with TomTom and fifa 11 which are 1.7 and 1.0 gb each respectively. So converting songs to 128 AAC leaves me a food 5 gb left. I have ~100 apps and ~100 photos with 4 Simpson episodes

I'm getting the 16. I have no need to watch full length movies on the go (if on an airplane, I'll use my laptop), I have a real camera for HD video, and in the car I use my 32GB Touch for music.

Some of us care about sound quality though. 128 is AWFUL.

At 2:45AM in the morning when I was ordering.. I didn't even think twice.. I got the 32gb knowing that I wanted to have more than enough memory to hold all my apps, music and data.

When I had my 3G 16GB I couldn't believe how fast it filled up. I have my 32GB and I have about 1.5 GB left. I have movies, music, apps and pics. I just have music I listen to a lot and I sill wish I had more room.

I know that I have a 16GB, and I've recently had to start being picky about what I put on it because it's close to full. The two biggest users of space for me are Navigon and Infinity Blade, so of course it depends on whether or not you plan on using large apps. Then again I usually store almost no music (or movies) on mine.

I'm leery that this has not been debated, that being said I had no real luck finding the terms "16GB" or "32GB" in search.

I'm sure many of the new Verizon iPhone owners are going to be pondering this very question.

I plan to do quite a bit of gaming, some music, not sure about movies. 16GB sounds like a decent amount, but the last thing I want is to be in a situation where I am deleting apps to make room for new ones.

So...consensus?:apple:

There's no way to offer an idea without knowing if you have a large iTunes collection, and how long you plan to keep the phone.

Personally I have a massive iTunes collection yet they don't all need to reside on the phone, nor do I want them to. I keep them on my Mac Pro & other drives. Then I put what I want for the next week or two on my 16GB iPhone 4.

I think it's a waste of money to pay Apple for a 32GB model. I mean, think about it, you're paying a full $100 for only 16GB more. Plus I get a new iPhone every year anyway.

Once Apple builds an iPhone that's really good, then I will keep it two years or so. I don't like having to buy a new phone every year, but so far Apple has strung us along.

I got the 16GB and I plan on getting a Classic for all my music. 32GB wouldn't be enough for it all anyways so I figured I should just get a standalone player.

And reduce the audio quality? 192 is the absolute minimum and still retain the audio quality. 128 is awful.
