You cannot “force” the refresh rate of an iPhone to 60 Hz: you are confusing it with an Android phone 🤔
And there are no battery concerns whatsoever: the Pro are slightly better than the regular, battery wise. proMotion is not always 120Hz: it automatically switches to the refresh needed.Besides, almost all MacBooks Pro released since 2021 have a 120 Hz display.
Why would it switch to 60hz when on low power mode if the higher refresh rate didn’t affect the battery life?

Plus phones are a great way to get a larger device if you don't care for the Pro features. The S24 Ultra is a great device, why do you want to get rid of it?
We all like to post from time to time as a way of justifying to ourselves a new purchase. If the S24 Ultra is like the S23, Pixel 8 Pro and Nothing 2a I have all trialled in the last 12 months it could be something small-but-significant. For me it was Google Pay failing to work 50% of the time. I don't care how good the cameras and battery life are if I can't do something as simple as paying for a Mars Bar 100% of the time. Apple Pay has never failed me once in 10 years.

You can limit the refresh rate of a Pro iPhone to 60 Hz in Accessibility settings (Motion).

I’ve been using a 12 mini since launch day and bought the 16 plus earlier this week! I am still working out new muscle memory for the big size bump but agree that it’s a great device.

I got the ultramarine color which is just a beautifully done color imo!! Excited to keep breaking in this phone.

It's a great phone and I'm all samsung here but 90% of what the phone does I don't use nor really put in effort to learn.

I despise the fact that I have to touch the screen to see my messages, hate that on IOS face id and it shows what I missed.

S24 Ultra is about a ounce heavier than the 16 plus, big difference in the pocket.

S24 Ultra isn't pixel which has a much cleaner look, it takes a while to organize to your liking, it's a bit packed to stare at.

It's a great phone for just sitting and playing with it for a few hours, watching youtube or browsing twitter or whatever but on the move it's kinda off, too many touches and looking for stuff. No swipe down to search instead swipe up which is kinda weird.

Samsung Health, I think is kinda off compared to apple health and google health.

End of the day ease of use and just getting stuff done is what really matters, I don't want to stare at my phone nor be on youtube like that, I can't change the world I can only control my outcomes so the distractions need to stop.

I cannot go back to a 60Hz screen on my phone, I think once the Plus finally gets some sort of ProMotion…even if it is 90Hz, it will be close to perfect, IMO.

I guess it just really depends on what you prioritise.
The Plus won’t be getting ProMotion. The Plus will be gone next year.
