iPhone 5s Order thread

This might seem early, but I was able to get a pre-order (that is what they called it) from Target. Basically they will contact me once I can pick up the Phone.

I was told that they will have the 5s on launch day and since I was the first on the list I would be able to pick mine up next Friday.

Figured it was worth a shot since my upgrade is still in place with Verizon incase this falls through I can always try my luck At Apple or one of the other Apple retailers.

estimated delivery Sept 20th.
 
That is more a reservation of future stock and not really a pre-order. But s similar result in the end.

True.

Even with limited stock if you get on the list early (position 1 - 10) then you have a good chance of getting it on Sept 20th.
 
The place I work for has a mobile seller in most of it's stores. Went to my closest one today and spoke to one of the staff there. Told him I was after either the 64 or 32GB (64GB preferable depending on stock), in black. He's going to be at a different store in the city but took my details and said he'd check where he was and phone the store I went into and get one put to the side for me :D

No, the opposite actually. Target told me today they are only selling phones for upgrades and people getting a new 2 year contract.
 
I did this earlier today in Target. I asked if they had a reservation list, which they did. So they just took my info and said they would call me once they got the phone in and I'll have 48 hours to pick it up. I also asked if they had a lot of people on the reservation list and she said they had 10, making me the 11th one. I may still scope out the AT&T store that morning, but the last time I asked if they'll open up earlier (which was yesterday), the guy just told me they hadn't decided yet and to check the hours posted on the door next week. If AT&T isn't opening earlier, then I might as well just get it from Target since they open at 8.

And you could also check out a different target to see if you can get a better position.
 
Wouldn't be surprised if come Friday,:apple: that you don't get a call.

I hope you have a backup plan
 
I may give this a try as well. Its better to have some options rather than none. plus I have a Best Buy next to the Target so I'll bounce back and forth between the two.:cool:

Yep. I have a back up also. I figure if they don't contact me Thursday, I will hit up the Best buy, or Maybe even Apple later in the day.
 
Called...and told I will definitely get a phone. (will believe it when I see it)

will post if I get some sort of conformation
 
Target came through....

Got my confirmation email and set my appointment to pick up phone tommorrow at 8am...

Congrats! I'm pretty sure I got my reservation in too late. They never said where I was at for my particular model but 70 something overall. Stupid NYC
 
I just called my Target, and they said they expect the shipment "within the next few days." :(

My local Walmart only received three space gray models.
