Apple Seeds OS X Mavericks 10.9.2 Build 13C44 to Developers

Apple today seeded build 13C44 of OS X 10.9.2 to developers, marking the third developer beta iteration of 10.9.2. The release comes a week after the second OS X 10.9.2 beta, build 13C39, and a month after the first OS X 10.9.2 beta.

The update is available to registered developers through the Software Update mechanism in the Mac App Store as well as through the Mac Dev Center.

Apple continues to ask developers to focus on mail, messages, graphics drivers, VoiceOver, VPN, and SMB2. The second beta of OS X 10.9.2 began allowing Mac users to block people on iMessage and FaceTime, as can be done in iOS 7.

Apple has also seeded new versions of Safari 7.0.2 for Mavericks and Safari 6.1.2 for Lion/Mountain Lion, asking developers to focus on General Website Compatibility, Accessibility, AutoFill features, Printing and Emailing from Reader, Dragging Tabs Between Monitors, and Extension Compatibility.

Has the issue where the archive button is greyed out for Gmail been fixed yet? I downgraded to 10.9.1 because I couldn't archive in beta 1. Couldn't even drag messages to the all mail folder.
 
And...

Last but not least does it fix the fact that it seems to run my iMac 10 degrees hotter under load than ever before pushing 190 degrees fahrenheit despite cleaning the unit out with air duster canister?

Reset the SMC, because this controller controls the fan speed or use tools like SMC fan control:

It's also possible that 10.9.x does more in less time (higher CPU utilization).
 
I'd like to see NFS issues resolved.
And that issue causing my DisplayLink screen to flicker.
Developers in both areas have blamed changes in Mavericks for their problems.
 
I hope this speeds up finder. I just got my refurb Macbook Pro and it moves like it was built in 1999. smh

This is likely because Mavericks, for many types of GPUs (my GTX 660 OC temps go up exactly 10 degrees under mavericks under the conditions I mention in this post) - has been causing them to throttle up to Max speeds upon doing things like 1) using opencl apps 2) photoshop 3) especially apple's preview app. If you search for results pertaining to the hackintosh community, you will see this is prevalent.

That, I bet, is why your system is running hotter.

edit: and, no, this is not a purely hackintosh issue. You will find this affects both "real" macs and hackintosh systems.

fwiw: this beta does not fix the "full throttle GPU speed issue using preview app until restart" bug. For me, preview is the only app which causes the full-tilt-boogie GPU speed issue...which is reasonable.

I've had syncing issues with iTunes 11.1.2 and .3 with iOS 7.1 beta's where iTunes would freeze in the middle of syncing or take a very long time to finish syncing.

I haven't had an issue yet with 11.1.4 iTunes update and iOS 7.1 beta 4, but it was just released today so I'll give it some time before I call it fixed.
 
spotlight works just like it supposed to. In beta 2 calculator and some other function were not working as before. At first glance, beta 3 is just fine!

Unless you rely on SMB2 in which case go back to 10.8.5.
SMB2 in Mavericks 10.9.1 is totally screwed.
Connections to a Windows 2012R2 server are virtually unusable. Timeouts mid way through file copies, slow folder browsing, and more importantly cannot hold a connection to the server for more than 5 hours. Once it drops the connection to the share the Mac needs to be rebooted for SMB to work again.

The irony is that it took until 10.8.5 for SMB to work properly on ML and now Mavericks has started with a new SMB stack from scratch.
