hi there i just come across this site too and was woundering gerryroxby if you have recived a confirmation email about the items?

I just bought a wii fit, remote & nunchuck from ishopuk. I've paid my money (£69.97) and taken my chance so i'll let you know how it goes.

It's either got to be a scam or a novice dealer.

And you have used your first and only post to let us know. Thanks.

I hope you make a second post telling us it all arrived soon!

first post

I've also ordered wii fit board, but not paid any money yet. Have emailed Shop this morning to try and find some alternate ways of paying. My bank won't let me pay new accounts without some electrical box of magic (thankfully). Don't fancy a trip into local town either. Ishop not emailed back yet 6 hours later. Perhaps he's out delivering or maybe just collecting his winnings. Have also asked how to cancel order. Will let u know results if any.

Interesting thing.

If you go onto a section on the site Why bank payments?

http://www.ishopuk.info/news.php?newsid=2

you will notice the line

'Think of it this way - how many iPhones do you think we have sold in the past couple of days?
A good many is the answer, mostly offline but a number online - the other providers would not have allowed the transactions through smoothly without any hitches.'

So I e-mailed them to ask if I can get one in person (so I can actually see it). and the response was they only sell online.

Come on guys, this is a scam, you shouldn't waste time on it, and you certainly shouldn't waste any money.

If you read the small print, you'll notice they only accept Direct Bank Transfer.

Not only that, but they make a big deal out of it as to how good and secure it is.

Hardly any mention of debit card or credit card payments being accepted.

Someone should offer the guy £500 for one if he'll take a credit card. It would be fun to do just to mess with him. :D

right i brought £8 of stuff from their i got an email saying all the stuff was out of stock and they could not return my money till the end of the month so i rang my bank gave them the transaction number and the authcode of the transaction
and they charged it back
got an email a few days later asking why i have cancelled my order
so yess scam is the word

and those skull candy headphones are 2.5 mm jack not a standard 3.5 lol
so they cannot be iphone ones plus they dont come with a mike
plus skullcandy makes over ear retro surround sound and in ear buds
they do not make eaphones

anyone tried phoneing and got in touch with anyone yet been tryin to get in touch with someone but nothing?

Somebody please skrew with these people. Record the conversation and emails! Make this scam not worth his trouble...

OK, so read their terms and conditions, then read this site's Terms and Conditions. A little similar you think? Could be that they used a standard template, but only those two sites did so.

But the part that I used that caught my eye was about Governmental Decree 17/1999 and how it protects customers. Maybe it is legit, but google only turned up one result talking about it. I would think something that big would be a little more prevalent? I know nothing about EU law, so that's that!

Either way, this is surely a scam. They only use bank transfers until another method comes along which protects their customers as much. HAHAH....you mean like credit cards? Next thing you know is that they will only accept Western Union, because they have the most protections. :p

Scary that people fall for these scams - I wonder if some of these people have been duped by Wallet Inspectors as well?

Ha, they charge quite a hefty commission fee so I hear...

To those who have ordered and will still order regardless of the blatant fact its a scam site, good luck trying to get your money back :)

Yeahh its a scam I reckon..

I ordered an Apple iPhone 16gb accidently because I registered and thought I'll see what it says when it gets to checkout and before I knew it, it said pay by bank transfer. Definitely dodgy.. Do you think now if I just don't pay they'll know i don't want the iPhone?

Email from ishopuk re: delivery

I paid my money on Monday and the bank say's it takes 3 (working) days to clear so my order should be ready to ship on Friday. I emailed ishopuk to ask how long delivery would take

Hi

We still have the item in stock for despatch and delivery will be within 1-2 working days in the UK upon receipt of payment into our account.

Best Wishes

£69.97 was transferred into your Abbey account on Monday, 28th July 2008 for my order.

I would be gratful if you could let me know when to expect delivery.

Thanks
Gerry

So, we'll all know by Tuesday if this is a scam or not. This guy is either going to get a lot of orders if this turns out to be the real deal. Ha ha, you can tell i'm an optomist!

you'd better off buying my iPhone empty box for that amount :D at least you will get an actual box

As opposed to sending you a 16gb iPhone?

I think you're probably safe.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 16GB: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5A347 Safari/525.20)

This has to be one of the most transparent scam sites in history: registered this month with the address of the British Dental Hospital, bank transfer payment only, no contact address, company details, etc on the site (that in itself is illegal in the UK), and prices that are "too good to be true"
It couldn't be clearer if the site was renamed to iscamu.info ;)

How does anyone who is 'giving this a go' think the guy manages to get and sell the iPhones? nobody outside of Apple, O2 and CPW in the UK can sell you an iPhone at the moment, not even major mobile retailers or high street electrical companies, yet this dodgy guy with a brand new site, no trading history and no credit card processing system is able to do what companies trading for years and turning over hundreds of millions can't do?

Also he is at the very least trading illegally by not having all the correct contact details showing.

Well said. A much needed reality check.

After contacting ishopuk.info

Hi

We import all our products from outside the UK which means we can have a supply of the items in stock and ready for purchase at trade price instead of the UK RRP and inflated eBay prices.

We still have the item in stock for despatch and delivery will be within 1-2 working days in the UK upon receipt of payment into our account.

Best Wishes

Thats what I was told when I asked how they could sell the item so cheap and whether the iPhone was brand new and sealed in an offical iPhone box.. etc!?
Im not quite sure what the deal is with this company.. do you think if you ordered the iPhone you'd receive it?

No, I don't think you'd receive it. There is no reseller channel supply or "trade price" for iPhones and you can't just import them from a wholesaler: Unless you are an Apple official partner the only legal way you can get iPhones is from one of the official partners for the various countries.

Any news on this?

I came across the site this morning & was gonna order the iphone, skullcandy headphones & screen protector but common sense kicked in. :D

I did try & give them a call but it goes to voicemail.

Very professional set up---someone has gone to alot of effort for probably not much return...

Oh & re the headphones----they arent even released on play.com until the end of August----so I VERY much doubt he has them. LOL

Makes you wonder why he has put the iphone in so ridiculously cheap!?? If he put the 8gb in at £199.99 i'd be more inclined to think it was legit.

Identity theft

I was keen to buy one of their iPhones until they asked for the bank transfer! Unfortunately before quitting they asked me to register with them - I am now concerned that they will use the information for identity theft.

ishopuk is a fraud

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ISHOPUK - IT IS A CON

I made the mistake of testing out this website by ordering an iphone - it is definitely a fraud and fake. It amazes me people are so brazen about conning people like this in broad daylight.
After reading some others experience with ishopuk online, it has confirmed my suspicions.
No one has received any goods
I've had no response since I let them know I had transferred the funds
Finally today the guy has taken down the front page of the website, which is now supposedly under maintenance. (HOW CON-VENIENT!!!!)
If anyone is searching the net wondering to buy from this site - DO NOT

After I did a website owner search it dawned on me it was a con - seeing how new the site was and learning the addresses were fake.

Steer Clear
