But it is nice that you can get 64GB for what they used to charge for 32GB.

This right here^^ this makes all the kiddy tantrums going on in this thread irrelevant. If need more than 16gb this is it so appropriate.
Besides why on earth would they drop the 16gb when its the most popular/most sold unit in the storage linup? Ehhh business school 101 anyone??

This! WTF were they thinking. 16gb is just not enough anymore.

Says who?

Please tell them. Ive been saying this for months. Its going to stay. 16gb is good enough for the average user.

It's available in larger capacities so you don't have to be "very frustrated".
Basically, people are frustrated that they're not getting more for less, which, as consumers, is what people will always fight for.

Well, they increased the size of the phone without increasing the price points. In order to maintain their profit margin, they want to encourage more people to take the $299 option over the $199.

For $199, they're getting a bit more physical iPhone than what $199 got them last year, or two years ago. I think many will be happy with that.

For everyone using Next/Edge/Jump, it'll be about an extra $4-$5/month to get a 64GB iPhone.

Its a way of increasing the price without increasing the price.

It makes the 16GB look like bad value and will entice more people to spend the $300

Apple can do no right in some consumers eyes. You can still pay $199 for 16GB like you always could. For many of us, 16GB is plenty. With a vast amount of options for streaming music including the ability to pin the music to your device, and the ability to store photos on icloud, large on board storage isn't needed for many.

299 used to get you 32GB of storage, now it gets you 64. 399 used to get you 64, now it gives you 128. How is Apple screwing consumers again?
