Thanks for the heads up on this great deal. I have a 2009 27" iMac, and it uses 1066, but this will still work great in it. From what I've seen it actually recognizes 1333 RAM anyway.

So you can put 1333 in a late 2009 iMac?

I thought that didn't work in every case?

Great... just one day after I order my RAM from Newegg. I bought the 8GB (2 x 4GB) G.Skill RAM for $64.99 from them.

I just ordered the Kingston RAM and got it for $114.12 with tax and the $10 off new customer promo.

Now I have to RMA the original RAM I got yesterday. I'm just glad that the Newegg will call center isn't too far from where I live, no need for me to pay for shipping.

Are these compatible with 2011 iMac I'm getting conflicting answers from Apple Online Chat saying since it is LapTop Memory and not 1333MH /PC 1066 it may not fit also that third party warranty voids the memory all told by the online Chat help on Apple.com

I was all set to order these for my iMac I'll be ordering. Not sure what to do.

Did you even *read* the first post? Let me refresh it for you:

16GB RAM for 2011 iMac $112.27 ends in 2hrs

heres a fool proof ram selector, if that will help: http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/iMac/2011/DDR3_21.5_27

I'm glad to see a few of you were able to cash in on the deal.
I was tempted to order a pair "just in case I needed another iMac" :D

Tell Apple chat to read their own policy

P.S. An iMac in fact uses "laptop" memory, you'll be fine. ;)

I just got the email from Newegg to pick up my RAM via their will call service. On my way to do that now!

I feel sorry for you guys who have to wait for it to get shipped to you. :p

Just came back home with my RAM, no waiting a few days for shipping. :D

I feel sorry you have to pay for gas and sales tax :p:p

Actually, the cost of gas was virtually non-existent as the will call center was along the way with other errands I was running. As for tax, you almost have me there but that $10 "new customer" promo took care of most of the tax. I might have had to pay some tax but it's a part of my duty as an American, something that I am very proud of.

You're right. I thought I had read about people using 1333 RAM just fine, but I guess the CAS Latency plays a big part in compatibility. I cancelled my order and just ordered 16GB straight from the Crucial website and it was still under $200 shipped. I didn't realize how much the cost of RAM for the 2009 iMac dropped since I last checked.

pawtracks, I didn't subscribe to the newsletter and the order still went through, used promo code EMCKCKJ28. I just doubled checked my receipt and it's correct, 16GB for $99.98, order is being processed as per email.

That's great news! I know many who have had the message "you're not eligible for this promotion" which meant you are not a newsletter subscriber. Maybe they changed the policy?
