Another person has got their Powerbook! FINALLY! Im in the same boat as you. The last Mac ive owned was 12 years ago..and funny thing is, it doesnt crash nearly as my dell running XP. Granted with a hardrive of 256 mb, and no cd-rom...running an os that i dont even know...it doesnt do much thatd cause it to show that little bomb thingy.

but its hard to preach the virtues of a mac, when i dont have my mac here yet! oye. ahh well...any1 who tells me a peecee is better..or their dell laptop is the greatest...i just run over to www.apple.com/powerbook and show them that video stevo-jobs showed at MWSF. needless to say, they struggly to cover thier 'levis' after watching it.

ahh, how i long for the day that i dont have to turn to the net to show them why a mac is better. i can just pull it out of the brenthaven case :D. im actually messing around with the case right now. this is thing is insane. goregous little backpack. and it doesnt even look like a computer case :)

ok..no more plugs for brenthaven..:) for now anyway.

HBK : Indeed this is one of the longest posts that actually has sentimental meaning. I believe you have a tread with some 400+ posts the last time I looked. I see your in T.O as well, where abouts might that be?? You see if I am fortunate to get mine B4 you and your not to far away maybe I could be a good MacRumors friend and let you....see it and touch it in person??

P.S. Where is ubergeek?? I haven't seen of here since these new emails.

that would be great...if i could. but im doing my undergrad at emory univ. in atlanta ga.

but the next time im back in the "t-dot" will be in may. and hopefully by that time i'll have my own. :D

i lived near bloor and younge (charles st.) until i was 9 and hten moved to markham , and lived thier since. what about you? hey..important question...how are the leafs doing? i hear we got gilmore back. :D like the good ol days.
 
also guys, my picture of the keyboard was at full glow and in a completly dark place. i thought maybe the picture would be ok to post.

No problem, just thought I would share the cheer. As for the Leafs I will make it short as this is the wrong thread to discuss hockey, but "Yes" we did reaquired Gilmour and "lost" him the first night he went on the ice. I can't even believe it. Looks like he might be out for the rest of the season. I will leave it at that.

That's one part of life I'm not looking forward to! Funny how we say to ourselves as kids "I'll never be like that" and then end up just 'like that'!

the keys couldnt be more clear, perfect if you live in a cave. the keys are a green glow.

How can it be green? If you go to the website for the powerbook you'll see a litle animation video of the keyboard lighting up when it gets dark. It's blue at www.apple.com/powerbook! MINE BETTER BE BLUE; but I won't complain either way. When will it come? My OOB is 4.17

calm down, ill check tomorrow, im not very confident on any color i say, ill just have to look for my self.
