Could be location based? I mean I did see some 1 TB iPhone 17 pro max silver model in stock in Chicago area yesterday.Orange Pro Max 1TB showed up in stock. Haven’t seen a silver one, not even once.![]()
My local Apple Store in Madison WI hasn't had stock of any iPhone 17 Pro Max in any color and capacity configuration. I've checked 3 days running now and all the Apple Stores in the Milwaukee area and Chicago area have plenty of stock. Is it unusual for a store to go so long without stock? Can Apple's site be trusted to show actual availability?
Apple does not make many of that iPhone model version. Should be in stock, at the actual store, a lot later but only a few. The only other way is if someone changes their mind or forgets to pick up. Doubt they send it back. Happens at a different store but rare.I see some 1TB and belows show up. Never any 2TBs. Anyone get a 2TB
Wow, still no inventory at Hilldale. I stopped into the store yesterday to buy some accessories and the store had one 17 Pro Max in stock - a 2GB model. I'm not trying to spend $2K.

I was able to get the iPhone 17 pro max 512 GB DB from the Apple Store Hilldale in Madison, WI, on Tuesday as they showed some stock for certain storage size and colors. AFAIK, they have received a ton of 256 GB in Silver 17 pro maxes as it took them till next morning to run out of stock.
Also not to mention that when I went to the store on Wednesday morning to pick up my order, I heard they still had the 512 GB pro max DB available to order, while the website showed that it was unavailable at the time. It's worth noting that Apple Store tends to have a threshold of X number of stock to be allowed to be sold through online and in store, so it does not hurt to pay a visit. I picked up my online order right at 10 am.
Yep. Not a single 17 Pro Max in the entire state of Wisconsin.Literally.. Sold out everywhere pretty much..

Read this morning Apple is cutting production on Airs by about 1million, upping 17 and Pro by 2 million and Pro Max by 4 million. At my store zero Pro Max. 1 Pro. All Airs are available for immediate pickup.
I have a case on mine right now so my opinion may be swayed some, but it does feel kinda like a light copper to me because of the metallic sparkle in the finish. That orange is just too traffic-cone-y for me :/. I wish it were more of a copper color.
I have a clear ESR case ready to go for the phone. I try to like the orange model every time I look at it, but I'm not there yet lol. The silver is also nice, but kinda plain. I'm surprised the blue is out of stock. I miss the gold or gold-ish color they would have every year; this might be the first time with no gold color. I have a gold 14 PM right now; I wish they had a gold this year. People have been begging for a bold color for the Pros, so I guess the orange is it haha.I have a case on mine right now so my opinion may be swayed some, but it does feel kinda like a light copper to me because of the metallic sparkle in the finish.
I had a really hard time deciding! Initially I was blue all the way. But then I never could get a blue 256gb pro max, only silver and orange. I ended up with the orange.
I would have liked a slightly lighter blue so much! Oh well.

Some items will show out of stock online or in the app but in stock if you’re at the store. I think it’s a method to try to reserve some inventory for in store purchases. I’m not sure if they do that on phones or not though. They did used to do it on other items.
