I buy soda from Amazon, and even though they put the dozen in a brown box and pad it in paper, the cans still come dented sometimes. That's what you got now.

I think we’re going to learn a lot now that there’s a unibody aluminum phone model. It’s one thing when just the outer band of a phone is aluminum, but now with more surface area covering a third of the back it’s going to be way more noticeable. With all my other Pro Max’s, the only time I got chips in the metal band is when I dropped it or placed it on rough concrete. I don’t use screen protectors or cases on my phones, so if/when they get chipped or scratched it’s usually my fault, but these Pro’s look like they chip and scratch just from looking at them. We’ll see how it pans out.

This is the first year I didn’t get a phone on launch day because I’m hesitant to get the Pro Max and the Air. Figured I’d wait it out and see but with a 16 Pro Max, I don’t fully feel the need to upgrade just yet.

Timmy approved a 💩’y phone this year so that everyone will be 😡 and upgrade to the 18…that won’t be aluminum unibody….and you can tell Gurman you saw it here first😉…
PS - Sorry about your new phone…if you haven’t, I’d be getting a replacement!

MacBook Pro’s hold up just fine, no reason the phone won’t too

So you dropped/nicked it and you're annoyed there is damage. Ok
Nope. it might have been there out the box, i didn’t scrutinise it I just randomly spotted it. I’ve only had it 8 hours there’s not even been opportunity to drop or nick it yet, I’ve been in my house. All I’ve done is a data transfer and put a case on it

Oh ok that changes it. I’d bring it back and exchange it. You didn't pay for a damaged phone
