Silver here, too. Not my favorite, but the most practical for inevitable scratches.Yeah, aluminum iPhones scratch super easily. I’m going with silver for this reason. Can’t see it. Sorry to say it will only get much, much worse over time.
8 hours I’ve had the phone. 8 hours!!

I agree. If there is no evidence of a drop I’d say it came in the box like that and exchange.I would try and get it exchanged. I’ve seen a 6 foot drop test it still was holding up great.
That’s on the softer plastic material of the antenna band. Thankfully apple cases cover this up.
So you dropped/nicked it and you're annoyed there is damage. Ok8 hours I’ve had the phone. 8 hours!!
That part of the band scratches when air hits it - on my Ultra and iPad Pro at least. That's not the aluminum, it's that god awful material they use for the antenna band. It's plagued iPad's and the Apple Watch Ultra for ages.
I think we’re going to learn a lot now that there’s a unibody aluminum phone model. It’s one thing when just the outer band of a phone is aluminum, but now with more surface area covering a third of the back it’s going to be way more noticeable. With all my other Pro Max’s, the only time I got chips in the metal band is when I dropped it or placed it on rough concrete. I don’t use screen protectors or cases on my phones, so if/when they get chipped or scratched it’s usually my fault, but these Pro’s look like they chip and scratch just from looking at them. We’ll see how it pans out.
Wow youre such an impressive man. Thank you for letting all of us know about your superiority complex😍I mean all you guys are putting them in cases anyway? What difference does it make? Only the brave like me who rock it naked should be concerned🕺🪩
Nope. I’ve had it for 8 hours. I’ve barely transferred the data over to it lolYou must have hit the phone on something right?
Nope. it might have been there out the box, i didn’t scrutinise it I just randomly spotted it. I’ve only had it 8 hours there’s not even been opportunity to drop or nick it yet, I’ve been in my house. All I’ve done is a data transfer and put a case on itSo you dropped/nicked it and you're annoyed there is damage. Ok
I’ve been case free with the Titanium Pros, no issues. The 17 Pro I immediately put a case and screen protector on, and wham I get this 😆I mean all you guys are putting them in cases anyway? What difference does it make? Only the brave like me who rock it naked should be concerned🕺🪩
Oh ok that changes it. I’d bring it back and exchange it. You didn't pay for a damaged phoneNope. it might have been there out the box, i didn’t scrutinise it I just randomly spotted it.
