Retitle please. This is disrespectful to an extent. No, it's 'not that serious', but change the title.

OP - please don't change the title. Your post and title is perfectly respectful.

People make "I found elvis" "Kennedy was spotted" "Hey look it is tupac!" style-jokes all the time, even on these forums.. but somehow steve jobs is off-limits? Please. Grow up people.

I think its pretty funny - their faces are definitely similar.

Apparently the photo has gone completely viral -

And so on.

I bet that dude in the wheel chair with the neck brace on is laughing at it.

Seriously some people here to calm down. Great post OP!

I just don't see the humor in it. Sure there is some dude in a wheel chair who may or may not have a medical condition just going about his business that looks vaguely like the late Steve Jobs.

What's next a fake Kim Kardasian sighting?

Lol.. why? You gotta chill... You really praise Apple and Steve Jobs that much to think this is disrespectful? It's not disrespectful. at all.

No, I, for one, don't praise Apple or Steve Jobs to that extent; I have long thought that the cult like adulation in which he was held by many was a bit……..excessive, and rather disturbing in its frenzied fervour.

However, I do find your original post in poor taste, but maybe, that is just me. And no, I must say that I fail to see the humour in someone who is clearly ill, and who yet bears some sort of resemblance to Steve Jobs. So what?

Who said that guy is ill? Just because he is in a wheel chair doesn't mean anything. Get over yourself. Go join the peace corp

Really? Being in a wheelchair doesn't mean anything? Seriously?

Thank you for enlightening me, as clearly, this is a fact that I would never have never been aware of prior to now, so, therefore, quite obviously, my evening online has not passed without learning something of worth.

However, in my benign innocence (and while we are at it, allow me an aside to salute the Peace Corps - I am not from the US but I do hold this organisation in some respect, while we are on that topic), I was of the view that a gaunt individual, wearing a neck-brace, who is being wheeled in a wheelchair is suffering from some degree of ill-health. It is, of course, entirely possible (if rather unlikely) that I err in suggesting this.

Nevertheless, I still think your original post in poor taste.

Edit: But I do find your comment recommending (doubtless meant as a sneering suggestion) that I join the Peace Corps rather funny, in the circumstances.

I don't care if somebody intends to impersonate Steve Jobs and make people think he is still alive. However that makes the assumption that the poor guy in the wheel chair was trying for that. Under the more likely scenario that the poor guy in the wheel chair had no intention of having his photo taken or even knowledge of it, using his likeness to make the joke is disrespectful to him.

If I looked like some dead famous person and somebody used my likeness to get themselves attention (and probably money) I would not be thrilled if that came at the cost of my privacy without my consent or permission.

Peace to all.
