You should get a text book or two first. Preferably on the English language. I am sure there are manly versions for you, too.

Im not a fan of the color pink but if they sold a purple one I would definantly get it. By the way I got the white iPad
im 19 and on launch day i was set on the 64gb black wifi only and that's what I told the apple employees when they took the tally in line, but when I walked into the store I saw the white one and had to get it. No regrets so far, my girlfriend has the black and I don't really notice the differences in web browsing, reading, etc... It's just something different b/c I had the iPad 1 which of course was black, iphone 3g, 3gs, 4 (all black) so thought I'd switch it up

I'm 13 and got the black 32 gb + grey smart cover only because it was the only one left on launch day. I'm hopping to get a leather black smart cover sometime soon.
I usually go for white since it goes with all my other Apple products but I got the black iPhone and it grew on me. I say get the black

1) Can't type a coherent sentence.
2) Equates *something* to being girly. Just a weird statement.
3) There are at least 300 threads on this and he fully admits that he is being redundant.
4) Why would you ask someone else what color is right for *you*?
And when you are a man you won't come on here all wishy-washy asking someone else what you should prefer.
For all the people that sit there and say why do you need a second opinion just get one you are the people that will regret what you buy in the future. Also you say there are plenty of posts like this if there are so many why do you take the time to comment on all of them.

I'll correct you otherwise. That's a weird generalization. Maybe he can get laid AND have an iPad? Or maybe he hasn't even lost his virginity yet (not that there's anything wrong with that). MAYBE the iPad WILL get him laid, it may be over a year old but it's still a great conversation starter. If he has $500 to blow, then he should go for it. I know i had $500 to blow at 18, it's called a job.
I say buy it from an Apple Store, and if you're unhappy with the colour and still undecided then return it within 7 days. One of the plus points of Apple's return policy...
It's one thing to get a second opinion from a trusted friend/advisor who knows you well and understands your general preferences.
It's another thing to ask a second opinion from a roomful of strangers who know nothing about you and who will most likely give conflicting advice, leaving you none the better for having asked.
The point some are trying to make is that in reality, choosing the color of an ipad is a pretty trivial decision. Absolute worst case is you return/resell it and buy the other version. White vs black ipad is nothing compared to choosing a car, home, job offer, spouse, children's names, or any of the other major decisions everyone has to make in the course of life.
Then there's drugs
