Which size are you going to choose after seeing all the dimensions of the faces/bands today?

Please feel free to post your wrist size as well as what face size you chose. More information the better. Thanks

38mm for me.

I have a small wrist around 165mm and I hate bulky smart watches like the original pebble. I keep telling myself 38mm but after seeing that Gruber article say, "some men (and, I suspect, many boys) will wear the 38 — but in broad strokes the 38 is the women’s version and the 42 is the men’s. "

I know it's only one mans opinion but what do you guys think based on my wrist size. Leaning towards the link band.

Completly depends on your wrist size. Your poll is just asking people's wrist size.

Small wrists mean I am going with the 38mm.

Update: I measured my wrist and it is 165mm so ya, the small watch makes sense for me.

I'm not sure which yet. I may wait till they start the previews in stores then decide after I get my hands on it. But right now I'm thinking 38mm it's just a little smaller than the current Galaxy Gear S which I tried on over the weekend which is like 39mm and change which was a good size.

Not really, the 38mm comes in bands up to 200mm so just 15mm short of the max length for the 42mm.

Band length is irrelevant . It's how the watch looks on your wrist. If you have a big wrist, a 38mm will look like a women's watch. If you have small wrists and put on an 42, you will look like a kid with an adult watch. Watch size is about being in proportion with the wrist.

42 mm--if only for slightly easier readability (I have terrible vision and wear progressive bifocals).

Are the screen sizes not identical on both?

I have small wrists but I'm still getting a 42mm model. I have the Pebble at the moment and whilst it looked odd to begin with it doesn't anymore. I rather have the slightly larger display even if it's not that much bigger.

They aren't identical screens and band lengths are relevant...they fit larger wrists so it's an option for different fit and styles.

I'm not a man but...

I couldn't go smaller than 42mm. My current watch (women's) is 45.5mm (and I don't look like a kid wearing an adult watch). I'm short and very petite. I wish this case came bigger. :D

When you are repelling bullets with your bracelet err 'watch', it should be big.

I'm not sure the 38mm will look petite on anyone who doesn't play in the NBA or NFL. It's already larger than most men's watches I see. Measuring it on my wrist I think the 38mm would look bulky. It honestly looks a little big on wrists in most photos I've seen. The watch itself is pretty, so it's not like it'll be mistaken for a 1988 Casio calculator watch, but on my wrist the 42 seems out of the question, and the 38 is borderline.

I can't be sure until I try one of course.

I am going for the 42mm model, mainly for the hope it offers better battery life. This quote is from the Apple Watch Battery webpage:
"Apple Watch battery performance claims are based on test results from the 38mm Apple Watch. A 42mm Apple Watch typically experiences longer battery life."

Good point, I didn't even think about battery

Engadget reports the battery life in the 42mm is marginally better -- not something one would notice.

Anyway I used the "actual size" pictures on the Apple Store App. Very torn between sizes. I have a small wrist. The 38mm fits well but it just seems the smaller screen would be harder to use and read. Hopefully those at the event today will write some good "first look" articles, not just "the gold watch is beautiful" crap.

Also hard to tell what effect the mass of the watch plays and also not sure how the watch sits on the wrist; i.e., flush or goes along the curvatures.

One thing that concerns me too is that some of the bands seem a little skinnier/strike me more feminine. At least theres plenty of time before pre-orders to see what the consensus is in some of the first looks like you said.
