As a man with 170 mm wrist and 52 mm diameter, I love the 38mm.
All of this 42mm men and 38mm women debate is garbage. Just pick what suits you.

So I have been living with a 42mm SG Sport for the last week, and I love it. But I'm upgrading to a SS after seeing them in person and preferring them. After numerous try ons, I'm going with a 38mm in the SS. I honestly feel like the SS looks bigger than a Sport of the same size. And no, this isn't me just wanting one quicker, I have both sizes ordered in SS and are expected in June. To me, the 42mm SS had a "big watch" look that the Sport didn't, and I personally prefer a smaller looking watch. Wrist size is about 170mm, right in the "could go either way" range. Just my two cents.

I had a 42mm sport. Sold it and put an order in for a 42mm SS BSB due at the end of June. I bought the 38mm SS BSB since it would satisfy my apple watch jones, then the plan was to give it to my wife when the 42mm ships. Now I'm not so sure I want the 42mm. The 38mm looks pretty good on my 170mm wrists. It seemed a tad small at first, but I've grown to like it. I'm tempted to cancel my 42mm and get another 38mm for my wife. That way we could share bands. Hmmmmm....

I too have 170mm wrist and ordered both a 42mm sport gray and a 38mm SS since it shipped right away. After wearing the 38mm for a week I really liked the look and feel. I went back to the Apple Store and tried the 42mm on for comparison and found that it looked too big for my taste. I synced cancelled that order and will be keeping the 38mm.

Here's my 38mm with 3rd party adaptor and standard 22mm wide leather strap. I have around 170mm wrists (perhaps just under)

The watch looks a lot larger with the adaptor rather than the sports model strap

I'm running the 42mm sport model w/ utility watch face. I have tiny wrists, but always preferred larger faced watches.

I don't know the size, but I have small "girly" wrists(took 7 links out of my SS link band). Went with the 42 and have no regrets. It is not overly large on me at all and feels good.
