Apple has released another beta build for iOS 8.3. Go get it now & report any changes, bugs & fixes.

This post is WIKI.

New Features/Changes:
- The hands in the Clock app icon are a bit thinner (screenshot)
- The Apple Watch App is added
- Conversation list filtering in messages settings (screenshot)
- Asking Siri to read new Messages now gives you the time they were sent along with who sent them.
- Overall better performance on all device models.
- Notifications now tell you who the message was sent to in a Group conversation, instead of just saying 'Group Message' like in Beta 2.
- "Hey Siri" can make phone calls using the speaker phone.

Bug Fixes:
- In settings, the phone section doesn't crash anymore if you have your phone on landscape mode.
- Verizon VoLTE works again
- Fetch Gmail accounts wouldn't always reach out to the server for updates at set intervals or when refreshed in the Mail app. Fixed in Beta 3 (occurred in Beta 1&2)

Existing Bugs (from previous seeds/releases):
- Problems with 3rd Party Keyboards and Text Fields in Safari (i.e., here on MacRumors)

New Bugs:
- Outbound Audio on CarPlay maybe choppy using Voice Network or FaceTime Audio
- 3rd Party Keyboards may not show as usable in Spotlight. Work around is to reboot device.
- Swype dark and white keyboard themes show visual artifacts on buttons (Swype specific bug?)
- Songs in the Music app can be duplicated
- Artwork/Song/Artist sometimes incorrectly paired in 'Now Playing' window in the Music app (Bug report filed)
- Some dropped frames in Safari animations (may be limited to 6 Plus)
- Emoji Keyboard opens to 'People' section instead of 'Recently Used' (Phone reboot seems to be a temp fix)

Did they fix the syncing with iCloud photo library?
Especially with large library? (50k photos)

Downloading now. Hope this fixes VoLTE on Verizon.

EDIT: OTA for 6 Plus VZW comes in at 149MB, OTA for Air 2 WiFi is 84.4MB.

Over Air Update

I have iOS8.3 beta 1 on my iPhone 6+ any idea why the over the air beta 3 won't push? When I go to settings it says my phone is up to date with iOS 8.3

Probably because you have Beta 1. You'll need to download the Beta 3 IPSW from the Dev Portal and install it via iTunes.

I'm able to use VoLTE fine with this version.

From the (just posted) Beta 3 release Notes:

CarPlay
- Outgoing Call Audio and FaceTime Audio may be choppy.

Spotlight
- 3rd Party keyboards may not be available for selection in Spotlight Search.
Workaround: Reboot the device

Working with my 6 Plus with Swype.

But it was doing the same thing for iOS beta 2. Thats why I never installed beta 2. I just waited...

Beta 2 wasn't available OTA because 8.2 Beta was still being pushed out. iOS 8.3 B3 is the first release for 8.3 to be available OTA. You'll have to update through iTunes then.

OK. Thanks. Doing that now.

Third-party keyboards still seem to be having issues in Safari, but different than before. Previously using any third-party keyboard would cause Safari to lock up entirely. Now, this no longer happens, but as soon as swiftkey attempts to insert an auto-correction (which it technically does for every word, even if the correction is identical to what you typed.) The entire word is deleted, making it impossible to type. The only words that seems to stick are the suggestions if you tap them without typing anything else. Basically you still can't type on swiftkey, but at least the whole browser doesn't freeze anymore. Baby steps…

EDIT:

This appears to happen with any keyboard that uses auto-correction (so all of them, basically.)

OTA for Air 2 WiFi is 38.8MB.

Are you sure? My Air 2 WiFi update was 88.4M

That's unfortunate... this was one of the biggest annoyances for me with beta 2. Although if it no longer locks up and I can just switch to the default keyboard and continue typing, I guess it's better than it was. With beta 2 I'd have to remember to switch to the default keyboard before I typed or I'd lock it up.

pulling down notification center if on the notifications tab not today, will no long use location services (weather) unless u tap the today button where the weather data actually is

Anyone notice that if you check iCloud storage under both iCloud and Usage, it shows as 1GB instead of 5GB? But when I click add more storage it shows that I have the 5GB plan.

Notice this on my iPad 2, finishing install now on my iPhone 6.

Issue is not occurring on my iPhone 6.

I'll try to delete and re-add iCloud. If that doesn't work on my iPad, I will have to restore.

That's not happening on my air 2 or iPhone 6+. Might want to try a restart too

Group iMessage notifications now say the name of the people included in the group chat. Example:

Sam Jones
To you, Tom & Joe
Pizza tonight?

Beta 2 had it listed as:

Sam Jones
Group Message
Pizza tonight?

I don't have enough posts to edit the wiki. Can someone update this for me please?

Anyone notice that animations and scrolling in Safari has a lot of dropped frames on 6 Pluses? Mine is like this.

Also that bug from the last two betas where it shows an autocorrect when you hit backspace to go back to a word then hitting space changes the word even though to it correct (for example, typing 'here' correctly then hitting space, hitting backspace to delete that space will bring up the white autocorrect bubble below it with a suggestion that usually shows up in the black box above the text and hitting space changes it, to per say 'he'). Kinda hard to explain but I'm someone here has seen it.

PS: it seems Apple has fixed the problem were the tab bar in Music will hide itself.

Tried a hard reset and deleting iCloud from my iPad. No luck. Guess I'll be restoring tonight. Good thing I didn't have this evening!
