Is it causing you any problems? If it's just a cosmetic issue you might be better off ignoring it and waiting until beta 4
A fresh restore is probably a good idea anyways to see if the issue persists on a new install vs upgrade. If it is on a new install and still shows 1GB, you can report it to Apple.
It's not causing me any problems because I don't backup my iPad to iCloud, but if I were going to do so, I get the error telling me that iCloud doesn't have enough free space for the backup, even though my iPad backup is 1.1GB and I have 4.8GB free on iCloud at the moment.
Completely agree. Normally I do a full restore with betas and new updates, but I was feeling lazy today so I did just the update. I'll play around with it later this evening.
I always find this to be a funny question. Betas are always less stable than the general release. If that's your only criteria, then you should wait.

Thanks for looking into it. I had Beta 2 installed as well and it was still saying "Group" on my phone. Maybe it was just a bug with my last install. Oh well.
Not universally true. Apple is improving the software as well as expanding it. You might encounter fewer bugs as on the live version. Beta can also mean that Apple simply isn’t ready yet for a public release, but that doesn’t mean the beta is less stable.
Fixed since Beta 2. Working fine in Beta 3 as well.

another thing, in the b1 after a few days of usage the system was a little slow than normal. it was fixed with b2 ?
Nice; I tried to do that the other day in 8.1.3 and was told that I had no messages. Not very helpful, so it's good to know that it's been improved.
Took the plunge and installed the beta that Apple made public today. Hopefully no serious bugs on this. Will keep everyone updated.
iTunes looks at 'other' storage differently on iOS 8.3 over iOS 8.2.
The 'other' data size on my devices (iPhone 6 and iPad 2) have considerably shrunk. I use to have 90MB of documents and data, and 1.72GB of 'other' on my iPhone 6. Now its 800MB of documents and data and 800B of 'other'.
My iPad 2 use to have 70MB of documents a data and 800MB of 'other;. Now its 250MB of documents and data and 500 of 'other'.
Interesting change, but now maybe it will prevent massive 'other' problems.
