I ordered at 4am EDT and my boss ordered at 3pm EDT and she is scheduled to get it tomorrow by 3pm EDT. However my tracking info is still unavailable.

If I get it on the 24th I will be sure to contact AT&T and complain because their first come first serve was ******** and request some sort of credit to my account for it.

Seriously? Because she got it a day early?

Sense of entitlement much?

So, if you get your phone on the day they originally set, you're still going to complain?

Wonders never cease.

My confirmation says first come first serve. I will be complaining because they failed to hold up to their end of the bargain, yet again, by not following through their procedures.

We both pre-ordered through the ATT.com website and are having it delivered to us.

i feel there was some luck involved. I order 2 on the 15th about an hour and a half apart, from apple. they should be here tomorrow the 23rd but guaranteed by the 24th. Now i guess im lucky if you ordered and got screwed. where did you order from? at&t? primer?

In the past business primer account had priority and seemed to work and now it looks like they got shafted this time around, and one can hardly make hard and fast judgments considering the crazy server meltdown that occurred. Also i "worked" my ass off to get my iPhones. I went to bed at 3AM when i was so tired of waiting. Then i woke at 7am to find the order process unable to go, fast forward 10 hours and it worked like butter for some reason.

Luck of the draw.

Then why does your e-mail say "first come first serve"?

That applies to reservations, not pre-sales.

It wasn't the email, it was the confirmation page once I submitted my order. It says "All pre-orders taken online are being handled on a first-come, first-served basis."

She was backordered until today at about 3-4pm EDT and I've been "shipped" since yesterday morning.

We both did it via the regular AT&T website. Not premiere.

Well good luck with that. If you get it on the day they said you would, I don't think you deserve anything from them.

Then what the hell is the problem here? You're complaining that your phone order has been processed and is being ready to get shipped?

Relax. Things are moving faster than the internet trackers can keep up with. Remember. There's 600,000 of these things moving in 600,000 different directions.

You. Will. Get. Your. Phone.

Tomorrow? Thursday? I can't say. But chill, dude.

people who ordered with apple have been having way smoother experiences from what i have been reading. For some reason AT&T totally dropped the ball on orders, shipping, etc. If i were you i would call them up, you should hopefully be able to get a credit for something for your misfortune. I only condone complaining when a company truly messes up, and taking people money and leaving them in the dark is not how things should work.

They shouldn't be advertising something that they aren't able to promise their customers , ie 'first come, first serve'

There are countless reasons why your order may have been "delayed" a bit from card processing delays to extra credit/eligibility checks. It is comical that you are complaining about this, grow up a little bit.

so wait then your problem is with fed-ex not att. doesn't this just mean they shipped hers faster then yours... or no

Sucks to be you. Great to be your boss. Perhaps karma will make things work out... or maybe it's already done so. AT&T isn's obligated to do anything though. Nowhere on the site or email did it even mention delivery on the 23rd.
