The recent entitlement syndrome going around on the forums really gives iPhone owners a bad name... It's just a phone... I know you're excited, but please, try to contain yourself. No need to scream and yell at people.

Who knows maybe they screwed up your order entirely. Karma can be a bitch sometimes...

You know there's a frenzy when people have the idea to complain about the fact that THEIR PHONE IS SHIPPING.

IT'S SHIPPING! BUT NOT AS FAST AS THIS OTHER PHONE! OR THAT ONE! I WAS THERE FIRST!! WAHHH WAHHH WAHHHHHHH!

I seriously have replaced TV with this forum. Far more entertaining.

I laugh at all the 'grow up a bit' comments to be honest lol. My card has had a hold since I first ordered. They said it was based on first come, first served therefore I went out of my way to get up early and register and then get others in front of my order. Sure I will probably still get it by Thursday but it is just another fault that AT&T has hit. I would've ordered from Apple if it wouldn't have kept saying time-out.

No reason to complain here. Lots of people are getting delivery times that are earlier than other people, who ordered before they did. It's just the luck of the draw.

You understand that this 'first come first serve' business is actually applying to... you? Like, right now?

You ordered with the first wave of people. Your phone is being shipped with the first wave of phones. You're being...

SERVED FIRST.

::gasp::

Apple was having the same problems.

There are millions of children around the world starving and your complaining that your getting a phone on the actual release day and not a day earlier like some people???? Wow.

Still, you don't know all of the circumstances, so QUIT WHINING AND GROW UP. Act like an adult.

laugh all you want, the reality is you're being a childish brat. As others have mentioned, it's not like they lost your iPhone in the ocean, or that it's delayed for weeks. You're getting the first wave of iPhones, what do you need Steve to hand deliver it to you? Grow up and wait like everyone else.

You sir, just received -5 Internets. Have a nice day.

It's pretty obvious no one here is going to back you up for acting like a child, so maybe you should just drop it?

I know, right!!

Yes, this.

OP, if (and this is a huge if) you have a leg to stand on in your complaint, I believe it would be with FedEx/UPS (whichever is delivering your phone).

As my grandmother (who was raised in the country with not much) used to say to us kids..."you'll NEVER get a sugar-tit if you keep that whining up!" (She called those frozen ice pop things that came in plastic tubes in different colors "sugar-tits"...) :D

EDITED TO SAY: iPhone *IS* today's "sugar-tit". Waaaaah!

You are the type of fool who will tie up the phone lines on launch day for those with LEGIT questions. I have a 2 year old that doesn't whine as much as you buddy. Get a life and here is a sincere hope your phone doesn't arrive as scheduled so you actually have something to b*tch about.

Let me get this straight, you're going to call AT&T and complain because they delivered your phone on the day they told you they would? Man, I'd be pretty pissed too.

I ordered at 4am EDT and my boss ordered at 3pm EDT and she is scheduled to get it tomorrow by 3pm EDT. However my tracking info is still unavailable.

If I get it on the 24th I will be sure to contact AT&T and complain because their first come first serve was ******** and request some sort of credit to my account for it.

She should fire you for being a little girl. You forgot the first part of the email that says "Pre-orders will be fulfilled beginning June 24, 2010"

So anything before that is bonus. Probably APPLE said "release the phone early so we can mess up the Droid release" and then AT&T/FedEx had to scramble.

But seriously, you want credit? just return the phone, unopened when you get it and they will give you your credit.

just rubbing salt for my first post....

ordered a black 32GB from AT&T site, around 8 PM EST on the 15th. didnt know there was a block on preorders at that time.

order status never said back ordered, always in progress. DID say order was on the 16th tho.

items shipped the 22nd.

as far as fedex is telling me, it arrived at my local fedex office a couple of hours ago and will be here tomorrow by 3PM.

the salt is in the 8PM EST part...maybe because i am a new subscriber not an upgrader? it is a new two year contract. maybe they thought new contracts might of bailed vrs an upgraded line that isn't going anywhere soon?

anyways, first post so HI!

It's not a kidney - it's a phone, you can live without it for one day.

My husband and I both ordered iphones at the AT&T store on June 15th. We started two new lines of service with AT&T. We got an email on the 17th notifying us that one of our orders was canceled. No explanation - just canceled.

I went back into AT&T and talked to the manager. The best they can do is hold a phone for us from the shipment they expect to get on June 29th.

I understand that things happen and that they were overwhelmed and had system failure on the 15th. So what am I going to do? I'll take it like an adult and wait a few more days for a phone, that's what I'll do. I'll wait without pitching a fit even though there was no reason for my order to be canceled - it just happened. Life sucks sometimes and then you move on.

To hear the original poster threatening to pitch a fit over getting his order on the day it was said to be delivered is exasperating.

I'd like all these people complaining about these "issues" of only getting their phone on the day it was PROMISED to take a moment and design their own better way for taking, processing, and delivering 600,000 orders.

I want to see some real ingenuity here people, really. Come up with a better way to deal with 600,000 customers in a matter of hours, and make sure they are all shipped correctly and on time.

Let's hear it.
