I have to admit that I'm tempted to place an order to see what happens. Then again, I just bought a refurbed 8GB Nano for $99.00.

After researching, Apparently these are refurbed 1st gen iPods that are for sale. The model # matches one I found on a different reseller's site.

I've always wanted a first gen iPod. (I actually have one, but it's non-functional.:() I went ahead and ordered this to see what happens. If it's not what I'm expecting I can always return it.

this is really cool... the original iPod would really stand out compared to the millions of new ones out there!

But why is the picture of a 3rd gen? which one do you actually recieve? :s

I just talked to an Apple rep and they told me that they are not available and they are working to solve the problem.

Maybe the tablet is in the factor of the iPod, with scrolling wheel, in white, etc.

I asked the person I was chatting with if it was a 3rd gen or a 1st gen, and she said that it was the first gen. Then I was like "Are you sure, the picture shows a third gen, but the description shows a first gen".

She gave me to the Older iPod database on the Apple website.
I was like okay, and ended the chat.

Maybe they'll just start selling refurb'ed Newtons again instead of a tablet.
