iPod touch 2.0 preinstalled? never

well, I hope I'm wrong,
but if what the salesman in official store said connot confirm the news,
then Steve should come out and say "There will be no preinstalled 2.0 Touches."?

Apple will do the same thing it's done with Macs/iPods in the past, sell of the current stock with the old OS. It wouldn't make much sense to recall all the stock out there just to install 2.0. This is the case with finding 1.1.2 on new iPods sold from 3rd party resellers, they bought a large stock from Apple and can't return them for new. They may even wave the upgrade fee for iPods bought now, they did with the january upgrade. Apple store employees are just like every other retail worker, they don't necessarily know what moves their company will make.
