Maybe you should show a grain of patience and do this legally.

...OR, maybe Apple could get its ***** together and allow us to do this legally. Geez, they released everything together almost at once after a big press announcement and didn't have the foresight to think 'Hey, maybe we may have to see if our servers can handle all of this.'?

Guys, hold up. It will be there. Probably within the next couple of hours. You have to go and steal something, something that you think you are obligated to have, when Apple is trying their best to get everyone on a new iPhone to get service, and then to get the update working. When we start hearing that people are getting their 3G's activated, then we can expect to get the update up soon after, because it looks like a really easy fix.

Patience, my friend, patience. No illegalities right now, please. All you need is a speck of patience. You will get your update. Don't worry. 'Nite.

Right -- the same iPods that were there yesterday will somehow have 2.0 magically installed today.

How does it get installed? Is it via Wifi? Mine doesn't work, can you help?

Maybe Apple, seeing it's servers crash, will give away the update for free, with no $9.95 fee. They clearly will make that money back 1000 times once everyone with the update starts buying apps. Most of the Apps are NOT free. Apple gets 30% of the price for every one bought.

I highly doubt they will give it away for free. That just doesn't sound like Apple. And they aren't making a lot of money from the apps. The 30% is to help run the store. Profit-wise they are probably only making 5%.

5% of a S*** load of money is still a S*** load of money, wish i was making 5% off the apps, gonna have to learn me some coding.

As for waiting for the update, i've pretty much given up for tonight. Going to sit in front of the telly with some wine and watch a film. There are more important things that iPod updates, mainly wine.
