I'm just having no luck with this jb. Tried it on a Win7 64-bit machine and a Win8 32-bit machine and can't get past the 20% mark on either (tried both the newest version of itunes and 12.0.1 as instructed). Any suggestions? All it seems to do it keep restarting my phone before Taig eventually displays the 1101 error. So frustrating.

Now I'm getting "network anomalies version verification failed" error, no matter what. Most unsmooth jailbreak experience ever, never took me days like this.

Well didn't try the earlier versions of this current JB. But this one was super easy. Run program. Click start or whatever the button was called. Waited 3 minutes and it was done. As easy as the website based one.

Have u installed the itunes driver?

Why the hell now while 8.4 is around the corner? i want apple music.

A lot of people are asking that, and the extant speculation is that 8.4 does not patch the vulnerability used by Taig.

Of course, I have absolutely no idea if that's true, but I also wouldn't put it past the Chinese team to have that kind of inside information!

My problem is that it won't run under a virtual machine, and that's the only kind of Windows that I have. :)

ok, so I have windows 7. I have installed windows drivers, have latest Itunes, don't want to downgrade right now. I have turned off passcode, wifi, findmyphone, and I am still stuck at 20%.
I thought this update was supposed to fix all the known issues. I have done a fresh restore on ios 8.3.
I don't know what else to do. I have rebooted iPhone, have rebooted windows, tried with iTunes opened and closed.
Any other suggestions besides downgrading iTunes?

does anyone know a way to download for Mac? I don't own a windows computer and don't have access to one bc frankly I can't stand windows in any way for or fashion. Thanks in advance

After a couple of stumbles, this worked fine for me. The key for me wasn't just uninstalling iTunes to downgrade, but I uninstalled everything Apple related: iTunes, both iTunes drivers (32bit and 64bit), and Apple Software Update. That, followed by a reboot let me install iTunes 12.0.1.26 without any problems.

Latest TaIG jailbreak worked fine on my 4S. So I'm good to go, with MyWi (though no longer needed since I'm no longer on UDP), OpenSSH, OpenSSL, and f.lux.

BL.

would i be right in thinking once jailbroken i can then update itunes back to latest or do i have to keep using the older version ??

That inside info can change. Apple has the money to fix those exploits in one day. It all depends on how badly they want to fix it. I hope they wont do extra effort- then we should be save.

I agree.

But I'm giving up on TaiG for now. One thing after another.

The latest release will work with virtual machines, but now it says that there's a problem authenticating the version because of a network issue.

Hmmm.....

Okay, I've already turned of WiFi so it must object to the MicroCell. Turned off MicroCell, and still the same problem.

Surely.... SURELY they're not trying to do something to which the firewall objects.

:-/

Not worth it for the minor gain in functionality that iBlacklist would give me, and iBlacklist is the only jailbreak that I'd still want to use.

iOS over the years has improved to the point that almost everything is being done right now.

If you want a jailbreak to work, it has to be brainless and seamless. :) And preferably for OS X, not Windows.

This release of TaiG is just too much trouble for too little gain.

Oh, I forgot.... I also had to uninstall my newest release of iTunes and install the older version to get past a TaiG notice that I had the wrong iTunes, and that's despite what everybody is saying that they got it to work without having to install iTunes.

Maybe I've got stupider as I got older.

Maybe I could solve it, but with 8.4 and Music right around the corner and not knowing if the vulnerability has been patched, I'm just not going through all this work. :)

So I upgraded to 8.3, downloaded the latest JB, and when I invoke it, I get this screen...and no matter what I click on, nothing really happens. The fact that it is in Chinese doesn't help.
