Kind of makes me wish i never bought an Iphone or Iphone 3g. Also kind of makes me wish i hadn't been anticipating this event like it was Christmas. Probably one of the largest disapointments since apple released the Iphone in the first place. No wonder their stock is down nearly $5 right now... B======D (AKA APPLE BLOWS).

i agree with the other guy.. and update to 2.1should have been a real update, not bug fixes which is something that is a given and SHOULD have 2.0.3

you have to keep it plugged in till 23:59 on friday... then the update will appear, but don't unplug your ipod till then!!!!!!!!

iPod Touch owners get the update today only we iPhone users have to wait till friday.

As for OP...be patient even iTunes 8 isnt out yet

That sucks, im sure we arent getting nike+ and now the in ear headphones arent supported by iphone is even worst. I wanted to replace this crappy a$$ headphones darn it!! 2.1 update seems like a disappointment

I'd rather stick candles in my ears than use the supplied Apple ones. Seriously, it staggers me how many of those white earphones I see everywhere. I mean, everywhere. That's an awful lot of people listening to really crappy tinny music practically drowned out by traffic noise.

didnt they say the 2.1 software for the itouch would be available today? Hmmm maybe by tonite. I clicked on "Check for Update" and still nothing for my 16 GB iTouch

Go and email Apple telling them to put copy and paste and mms and just forget about the fact that our backups are taking hours, the apps are crashing, installation after a certain number of apps takes forever, dropped calls, etc.
