We now have 12h clock. I can't take a screenshot but found a bug. (when phone is locked - that screen)
It defiantly showed PM next to the time to differentiate between AM/PM but i just checked my iphone after a couple of syncs and it does NOT say PM anymore!

Can anyone else confirm this bug

I was *just* about to post this.

I much preferred it with the AM/PM on display.

If someone can find a fix for this, I'd be very, very happy.

I'm not in the UK so things may be a little different there, but I've been using an iPod in 12-hour mode since 1.1.3 and I have never seen AM/PM on the lock screen. It appears in the "menu bar" but not on the lock screen itself.

Mine still seems to be showing AM/PM right now, so you weren't imagining it. I just wish the initial 0 was dropped like it should be (ie: 9:49am not 09:49am).

Will do.

I've just done a full sync and its still there. Cannot take a photo of the unlock screen though.

(UK iPhone 1st gen with 2.1 firmware)

The real bug is this weird AM/PM system you guys use.

I know old habits die hard, but honestly, don't you think it's more practical with a 24-hour system where "eleven" can only mean one time of day?

Oh well. *shrug*

Go to Settings >> Date & Time >> >> 24-Hour Time and turn OFF

AM / PM will then be back :D

No, it's not.

Not on the main screen. It was there when I first updated to 2.1, but for some reason, my phone couldn't get 3G or Edge, so I rebooted it - once I did that, the AM/PM indicator on the lock screen (ie: where your wallpaper is) was gone.

Are you sure you're talking about the lock screen? The situation may be different as I live in the U.S., but like Nermal, I don't think I've ever seen the "AM/PM" indicator on the lock screen itself regardless of the firmware version.

No. With the 2.1 update the UK time settings reflect those of the US - you can switch between 12 and 24 hour.

Even set to US, you still don't get the AM/PM indicator, as shown on the screenshot above.

The people who are/aren't seeing it -- Did you upgrade or do a clean install (restore) of 2.1?

Post whether you have the AM/PM, and the method of install for 2.1.

I do not see, or have never seen, the AM/PM indicator on my lock screen.

I simply upgraded from 2.0.2 to 2.1.

My Regional Format is set to the U.S., though changing it to the U.K. (and turning off the 24-hour clock afterwards) did not change anything.

I'm not crazy. I just restored my software to 2.1. Clean install.

Oh, look what's back now I've disabled the 24-hour clock setting.
