Better battery on the 13", same HDD, the i5 has a better gpu.

Actually if you are doing heavy duty work the i5 gets better battery life because it gets it done faster (it's ~25% faster) and can throttle much lower when it is idle

clock speeds don't really mean anything. the clock speed myth was created by intel during the P3-P4 era in order to sell stock.

if taken on the same architecture GHz has meaning (the die shrink to a lesser extent)
