Although my second computer was an Apple II, I did go down the Microbee/8086/286/Amiga 500/386/486/Pentium, Core, Core 2 Duo, Core i5/7 computers, going from DOS to Windows etc.
In 2011 I finally got a Mac, after first getting an iPhone in 2007.
It was only then that I discovered, once you go Mac, you don't go back!
Windows 11 tries even harder to copy some of the MacOS stylings with its centralised taskbar, and it is the nicest version of Windows yet, but macOS is just smoother and better in so many ways. Even the trackpad precision is exquisite.
Anyway, as a former Windows user, I like the Ubar app, and I put the Mac dock to the left, in hidden mode.

That may change with macOS Ventura that puts Stage Manager on the left. I might just turn off the dock altogether...
I also use Bartender 4, Paragon NTFS for Mac, AirBuddy, Copied and others.
Macs are the best. Wishing you lots of fun and success with yours!
