I'm having a hard time deciding which size to buy. This will be a home computer for the wife and I will do some photo and movie stuff for fun. My main concern is that the 24" will be to large and I will have to sit far away from the screen.

While the 24" is very large its quality far exceeds that of the 20".

A few have actually downgraded from the 24" to a 20". I'd suggest going to your nearest Apple B&M Store and examining both :):apple:

I also bought the newest 24 inch iMac (2.8 GHz) for use at home, where my wife does most of the computer work. (The MacPro is my signature is in my office on campus.) She really enjoys the 24 inch iMac, although as some people have noted, the screen is super-big!
