Just got to thinking..

What if the default order with which the products are arranged on Apple's page http://www.apple.com/mac/ are somewhat of a hint to the release dates!?

ACDisplays, Mac Pro.. as we all know are bound to be updated soon;
Mac Mini.. has rumors of being discontinued/updated, maybe making room 4 a new mid-range product;
Mac Book next in the list, then the Mac Book Pro..
Leaving at the end of the list the iMac and Leopard, which were recently refreshed.

Just spreading rumors..
Oh my God, what's next?

Are we going to look at transcripts of Macworld keynote speaches, looking for secret messages that Steve is sending to the world? Apple doesn't want us to know, so I doubt they spend any time on trying to give hidden clues to their product roadmap.

I, too, am eagerly anticipating the arrival of the new Mac Pro computers, but...

Actually, right now I am more interested in what happened to MultiMedia than in the Mac Pro's fate. Will he have to watch the announcement from a prison cell?

So will the mid grade model have an octo processor or will this be reserved for the top model? Doesn't matter much to me but was just wondering what the possibilities where.

With ATI's RV670 (Radeon HD 3800) being launched in Novemer, I wonder if we might see a GeForce 8800 Ultra / Radeon HD 3800 pairing of GPUs on the next Mac Pro update...or maybe Apple will give us an R700-based card when that GPU shows up.

Mac Pro + whatever card it comes with or a Santa Rosa MacBook and a $700 gaming rig?

Decisions...I don't want to buy an iSight for the Mac Pro either.

The 8800 GT looks very nice but I'm really looking at ATi for a ~$200 card.

guys..so I was thinking..the Intel GMA X3100 drivers found in Leopard..what if they were for the Mac Pro? LOL i think i would cry. and buy an Imac or mbp. obviously its not..but..what if?

I hope the Mac Pro is announced so and ships by November 12-14. PLEASE :apple: I have money waiting for you. :)

Maybe we'll get really lucky and Apple will announce new Mac Pros tomorrow with Penryn...:eek: After all, we did get the 3 GHz chips early last time...

I think the November date is our first & last hope of seeing new Mac Pro's this year.

BTW, How much time is going to be spent "sanitizing" the forums?:rolleyes:

I'm hoping so much that the MacPro is announced tomorrow as well as the MacBook. That way it really gives the people a choice to what to choose. When they see both side by side, maybe more people would lean towards the MacPro. More money. ;)

I don't think they will announce new MP tomorrow. I think its still too early and Apple likes to hype up longer than other companies so I am sticking with November 13th

I think they are Santa-Rosa only. So they would have to put laptop parts (i.e. motherboard and processors as they do in the iMac) in the MacPro.

I don't think so :rolleyes:

Give us something to go on.

Couldn't we at least have even a half baked rumour of something coming. No offense to all the mackbook buyers. But you had an update within the last year.

If anything else gets another upgrade before the MacPro i'm going to go insane.

The Macbook has had at least 1 upgrade, IIRC the MacBookPro has had 2, we've seen the iJoke, sorry phone. We've got a new Cat, now lets have something decent to use it one.

As they claim to have the worlds best OS lests have the worlds best Desktops to make good use of it.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE update on 12/13th November. I'll buy one that week.

No kidding. Plenty of people getting worked up into a frenzy over a supposed Macbook update coming soon. The Macbook was updated FIVE MONTHS ago. :rolleyes: They have no place to be complaining. Those people should try waiting for a Mac Pro update that never, ever comes. :rolleyes:

Anyone else notice that on a retail install of leopard, we also have ATI X2000, as well as Geforce8xxx series drivers?

Nothing weird about that as the current products already use Radeon HD 2xxx and Geforce 8600GT M products.

Soo..After that update,has people tried to boot to OS X with 8800series cards?

Does it help to have the kex at all? Is the 8600GTM so different from 8800 series that it is impossible to use the cards under OSX?
