2008 2.8 Mac Pro in the UK

Not having much luck here, I have tried Manchester Arndale, Trafford Centre, Liverpool, Shefield, White City, Regent Street and Lakeside. No-one has any!

Found a couple of 3.2Ghz models but at the price it would be cheaper to get a Opto 2009.

I've given up, and ordered the case and PSU for a hackintosh build, gonna use Efix, there's good reports of Logic and Pro Tools working on them, and the audio interface I use.

Looking forward to the build in fact, give me a little hobby for the weekends whilst the weather isn't up to much

Managed to get one! I popped into the local Currys on the way home and they had one it. It was the original price of £17?? (inc VAT) but managed to get a decent discount with a bit of haggling.

So now the proud owner of a 2008 2.8 MacPro OctoCore!

Incidentally, the PC World on the same Retail Park had a couple in (Stockport if you know it) but you will have to haggle them down on price as they are still selling it at the original price

Just need to get a few extras now, inc an addtional 1Tb disk, more RAM and a copy of VMWare Fusion

The Apple store had a refurb (or few) up today. Unfortunately I didn't have enough money to pick one up yet but it/they went for £1479.

I got one too! Took the ferry in calais to get one in the uk
Now to add more drives and ram!
